Fu Shan Viewing Point (Viewing of Chinese White Dolphins) — Attraction in Islands District

Great observation point near the Tai O village. The hike up to the view point was pretty straightforward and not very taxing at all. Took me about 5-6 mins to charge up to the top of the hiking trail. The view point can be considered as the head of the hiking trail around the Tai O island - didn't have the time to do the trail, just walked around the short trail between viewing point and a small shelter.

At the viewing point, accompanied by light sea breeze, you will be rewarded with a very encompassing view of the newly built Hong Kong - Zhu-hai - Macao bridge and the Tai O village and surrounding bays, and every now and then commercial planes flying over. Was quite hazy when I was there, but you could still clearly see most of the views in the horizon. Unfortunately I didn't get to see those elusive white dolphins but I guess it's a hit or miss thing anyway.

The hike at Fu Shan (Tiger Hill) in Tai O features fantastic open-air views of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. The hike takes just about an hour and it is a very easy climb.

Fu Shan is the highest hill in Tai O. What you should aim for is the viewing pavilion along this path, where you will see both beautiful inland views of Tai O and ocean views with the bridge.

To get to the Fu Shan viewing pavilion, find your way to the Hung Shing Temple of Tai O. Next to the temple on the left, there is a Shaolin Wushu Cultural Centre (photo below, on the right). The trail lies on the left of the Shaolin Wushu Cultural Centre.

Super easy hike,...

It is easy hike from the Hung Shing temple. The path is fully well setup and steps are very nicely build. This hike is created around the cemetery (hill). At the top of the hill, you may able to see the zhujiang River estuary, gangzhu'ao Bridge and the artifical island. On another path from St. Stephen's Tai O family, there are more rocky as path not fully build. Many claimed could view a nice sunset scenery but it is depending on weather.
