Lin Kai Temple is an early 19th-century temple and the 16th attraction on the 'Marriage of East and West in St. Anthony’s Parish' self-walking tour sponsored by the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO). This walking tour explores a somewhat lesser known area of Macau north of Historic City Centre. This is a interesting temple complex that is fairly typical of 19th century Chinese architecture, similar to what you will see when viewing other temples around Macau. There are nine chambers including the main hall, quite a few altars and other expected things to see such as burning incense coils and joss sticks, deity statues and decorative facade paintings. Plenty of open halls with natural light which is good for pictures. You can easily spend 10-15 minutes sightseeing at Lin Kai Temple before making way to the San Kio Garden just a couple minutes away. Afterwards, you can make way east to the Rotunda de Carlos da Maria street market area. Lastly, the walking tour ends at the new historic attraction, the Ye Ting Residence.
