We had a wonderful stay at Caravel Hotel. The location is fantastic, it is within walking distance to many major attractions and surrounded by great food options, including an excellent dim sum restaurant just nearby. There’s also a small supermarket just one street down, and a 24-hour beef brisket takeaway stall that offers many other delicious local delicacies.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, just as shown in the photos. We booked two rooms for a family of four for two nights, and found the rates to be very reasonable, definitely great value for money.
What truly stood out was the service. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Kenneth from Guest Services. My husband had a mishap while we were out visiting a tourist spot and wasn’t feeling well the next morning. Kenneth went above and beyond to assist us and he helped arrange a visit to a nearby hospital, called a taxi for us, and even guided us on how to get back to the hotel afterwards.
Though we were supposed to check out that same day, the hotel was kind enough to make an exception in case we returned late from the hospital. We ended up making it back in time and checked out by their designated check out time, but the gesture was deeply appreciated.
Overall, it was a comfortable, convenient, and stress-free experience with excellent service and great value. We’re truly grateful for the care and thoughtfulness shown by the team at Caravel. Highly...
Read moreA cosy boutique hotel with fantastic service. Hotel is located in the peninsula and within walking distance to most places ie Senado square, ruins and even Wynn Macau! The bus stop is just 1 minute walk away if needed. Local food easily available at the back and surrounding area. Wish we discovered about the Sunday bazaar, local food, and all kinds of items are on sale - so if you are staying over the weekend, you can enjoy the local fare. Fantastic staff service from front desk especially Katy, Sandra, Tin Lon, Lawrence and Rand who prepares our breakfast daily. The room is clean, cosy and Beds were comfortable. An important fact.... The shower pressure was strong. Simple breakfast is provided to start you off. So please don’t expect a huge spread. The hotel loaned us a hp which was so handy. Tip for airport transfer, you can take a local bus from airport to Sofitel Ponte 16, once you reach the stop cross the road at the pedestrian crossing and walk down the lane...the hotel is at the corner.
It would be good if a curtain/blinds could be provided for the frosted glass separator as the room gets lit up when someone goes to the toilet in the middle of the night and also to provide...
Read moreFantastic location with a clean room and a super friendly staff - what more could one ask for? Maybe a better breakfast which was kind of weak. Hey but if I ever came to Macau again, I would skip breakfast and still stay here. Well maybe if I hit the lottery and strike it rich, I might choose one of those super 10-star casino resorts. But I bet their staff wouldn't be awesome like they are at the Caravel Hotel. They were indispensable in helping me navigate the puzzle that is Macau, especially this kid Harvey. If I ever had a business of my own (a big regret in life that I never have), I'd want Harvey to work for me. He seemingly can do everything quickly and quite well at the same time. Oh that girl in in the evening - I forgot her name (she reminds me of a beautiful song I once heard in the Philippines so I'll just call her Awit - was so delightful. Always happy and friendly, I enjoyed chatting with Awit when I returned to the hotel every evening. I was quite surprised when Awit told me she has not gone to see Macau's pandas in over 10 years. Maybe she'll agree to go with me. That alone might be the perfect reason...
