Chris Country Cuts — Attraction in Ontario

Very Disappointed!!!! Early November, I went to Chris' County Cuts (meat shop in Covenant Gardens) & placed an order for pig tails. The clerk, who I believe to be the owner, took my order. I also asked that most visible fat be trimmed off. His comment back to me was "that's the best part". Laughing I said maybe for you but not for me. He wrote the order up with my name & phone number with the comment "TRIM". The clerk then said to me that I would not hear from him again unless there was a problem getting the tails in. So a full month went by & hearing nothing from the shop, I went down today (Dec. 14, 2018) to pick up my order. I was told that there was no order in. He commented that "she" mentioned an order but it never was processed. I said "she", no it was you I ordered from. His comment back was "Then I must have lost the order". Very disappointing!! Thank you, I’m sorry I didn’t get your name, but thank you to the young lady that helped me out this afternoon. All I knew was I needed to consume steak and mashed potatoes and this was the place I’d get the steak from. She was patient, asked me questions to get a better idea what I was looking for, made a tailored recommendation and gave me pointers on how to properly cook it. I am so glad this is where I went. I ate a damn good steak tonight. Like, a really, really, reeaaaaallly good steak. I can’t believe that I (me!!) cooked a good steak! Their pepperettes are really good, especially the Jalapeno ones, which have more of a savoury heat versus burning your mouth off. I've only bought their chicken so far, but it's definitely a better quality than the grocery store based on the taste and that there's less grease that comes out when cooking. Prices are pretty reasonable too. The woman who works there is very friendly and the younger guy is super chill which makes it very easy to deal with them. It's always nice dealing with people who know their products because they prepared them. I really like this...
