Even if you are not going to the ZOOO or the Botanical Garden, but you love architecture, you have a reason to come here. The road from the center isn't that far. Get to the Nadrazi Holesovice Metro Station. When you leave the subway, you will immediately see bus stop 112. About 20 minutes and you're at the end stop. On one side the entrance to the zoo, on the other to the castle. The cost of a visit is 120 kroons (you can visit the zoo + botanical garden + castle on the Troja map) for 350 kroons. There are very few visitors to the castle, but to attract the public, the management is trying to come up with some things. Now, the castle houses an exhibition of modernist metal sculptures. I can't say that it's interesting, but suddenly someone needs it. The chip of the castle is different. Everyone paints, paints, paintings... But for some reason, they don't write what they're special about. Maybe they look inattentively :). The ceiling paintings are very beautiful, but the main painting of the central hall is amazing. I do not know what this technique is called, but the point is this. You sit in the center of the hall and start looking at the walls and the ceiling. After 30-50 seconds, it seems to you that you see in front of you not drawings, but voluminous colored sculptures. The effect is achieved through the painted shadows. Depending on the place in the hall where you sit, the same drawings seem to be flat or volumetric. I spent 30 minutes in the hall. The palace also has a very interesting collection of park sculptures from the 16th and 19th centuries on the basement of the castle. After visiting the castle you can visit the park, maze hedge and other garden and park delights, but it is not so...
Kláry) najdete konírnu a kočárovnu.Krásný a rozlehlý park s kašnou, vodotryskem a zahradním bludištěm je v návštěvní hodiny zámku volně přístupný.
The Troja Baroque Chateau (rather a summerhouse or a villa) is one of the most important buildings of the beginning of the Baroque in Central Europe. It was built by Count Václav Vojtěch from Šternberk between 1679-1685 as his summer residence, but at the same time to obtain an aristocratic title (in which he eventually succeeded). The decoration of the castle is dedicated to the celebration of the imperial family, it was "dedicated" to them (for example, the axis of the chateau with the main gate and a huge staircase leading in the direction of the Prague Castle). The architect of the castle was famous French Jean Baptiste Mathey, Giovanni Domenico Orsi was the builder. The inspiration for the Chateau architecture were magnificent Roman suburban villas in the middle of large orchards as seen by both Václav Vojtěch from Šternberk and architect Orsi during their travelling in Southern Europe.
Upon entering the main gate, you will notice a beautiful, massive central stairway decorated with dramatic scenes from Gigantomachia, depicting the triumph of the Olympian gods over the figures of the Titans. This probably gave the name Troja to the castle, which then spread even to the surrounding area. Sculptures are the work of Paul and George Heermann. The center of the castle itself is a large hall decorated with a large fresco decoration on the Habsburg victory over the Turks near Vienna. From here the corridors of the adjoining salons diverge to both sides. The two-storey tower belvedere ends on the sides. On the ground floor of the chateau there were rooms for servants and vast wine-cellars in the basement. You can also find a stable and a carriage house in the northern courtyard (under the hill of St. Clair's vineyard). A beautiful and vast park with a fountain and garden labyrinth is open to the visitor hours...
