The parts of this museum that are good are great - the medicinal garden and sections on space and history of science are fantastic. However, I would say the medical and pathological exhibitions were creepy at best and downright terrifying at worst. It may be cultural sensitivity on our part as we're from the UK, but I found myself quite quickly wanting to leave. I wouldn't recommend taking children - I don't think this would be child friendly. Read moreA science museum as it should be! Different exhibitions on medical sciences, physics, chemistry and biology with lots of information and small experiments to try yourself. The show in the planetarium was lots of fun. It's only in Danish, but the host tried to include us as non Danish speakers too, which we appreciated very much. What I like the most about the museum maybe is that it shows the relevance of science in society, and invites visitors to form opinions themselves on various subjects such as nuclear energy, your own body etc....
Read moreWe visited Steno Museum in the Winter Holiday. I was alone with a 9 year old and didn't have a chance to study all the more permanent exhibitions but from what I saw they were rather interesting and often thought provoking.
My daughter just loved the Space Exploration theme and I was impressed by the many guides and their way of explaining pretty difficult stuff in a way that children found interesting and understandable.
And it doesn't hurt that it's very cheap to visit the museum - and even free for kids!
