My review is about Carrefour itself.
Good choice of goods, fresh items, fruits and vegetables. But! There are a lot of disadvantages: always check the barcode of the item you choose with the barcode written on the price tag. There is chaos with all the price tags. Also check the price with the scanning machine. But be ready that at the cashier the price can be also different :)))) On my question “why there is one number in the sticker ON the box itself and you say another number”, cashier just murmured something like “system, change”. Of course, system changes but in the hall with the price tags nobody knows about it :))
There is cashier where you can pass if you have less than 10 items. If you are lucky to find there anyone:) When it is crowded and huge lines to everywhere, why should someone with 1 packet be in the same line with the ones who have boxes and piles of goods?! Even by asking, they will not put there anyone. One of the workers said that unfortunately no free people to be there. Well, these small details can spoil the whole impressions.
Also - be ready to carry the things with you as there are no lockers. Security can keep your big bags beside him saying that they have camera everywhere in case if anything happens :)

Read moreI have shopped at Carrefours all over the Europe and Africa and have to say this is my least favorite stores.
The management staff are rude unless you are local. They seem very disorganized and dont have clue as whats going on.
Prices are higher than other markets in the area including other Carrefours here in Hurghada.
Shopped here 5 times over 5 days and can't. Recommend shopping here unless there are no other options.
Waited for 15 min for staff to get change for a 200egp after purchasing 145egp....needed 55egp but they couldn't seem to find change. Extremely rude cashier didn't seem to no how to use credit card machine. Our credit cards DO NOT require a pin....doesn't seem to be a problem anywhere else in Egypt or even at the other Carrefour, just here.

Read moreI feel completely misled by this purchase. Before buying the TV, I specifically asked the employee if it was a display model, and he assured me it was not. Trusting that, I paid full price. Once I got home, I had a nagging feeling and checked the usage time — the TV had already logged 1,600 hours, clearly indicating it was a display unit.
What’s even more frustrating is that there was another TV available for 5,000 EGP less, openly labeled as a display piece — and I intentionally avoided that one. I feel cheated and disappointed, especially after going out of my way to confirm this was a brand-new product. This is...
