My experience from start to finish: Place stunk of cigarette smoke, I was hustled to pick a longer treatment than 30 minute reflexology I had booked for, so 1 hr massage. I was ushered into a dirty booth, I went in and someone ran a mop over my feet twice from the booth beside me while I unchanged, the masseurs peered in and out at random. She started by rubbing oil on my feet not really massaging and stopping quite a lot, sighing, checking her watch and often disappearing out of the room. She rushed up my back, uneven on both sides, she either did not know what she was doing or she didn’t care - or both. Twice she shunted the bed forward which gave me such a fright. She dropped the oil bottle on me, she was either insulting soft with her touch or quite rough it was so unpleasant. She continued to leave the room. Where you put your face in the table smelt strong of someone else’s cigarette breath. She continued to pop in out of the room. I must have been rubbed with oil for around 30 mins? After turning me over she massaged my feet and then my face?! I should have told her no but I was in shock! I didn’t expect something like this to happen, I had mentally prepared to relax. Worst experience ever. As I started to dress at the end she came back in, I was half clad and she told me she had 5 more minutes, it was very awkward so I hopped back on the table for about a minute the she said “finished” walked out. At that point I check my phone it had only been 45. She must have rubbed me with oil on and off for 30 mins with how much she left the room - maybe to check her phone it felt like? At the end she asked me if it was a good massage with a smug look on her face. I couldn’t even look at her I felt so uncomfortable. Also once I used the towel to wipe all the oil off my body I saw her folding the towel back onto the bed, I told her twice she needs to wash it because it is dirty now and she just scoffed / laughed at me.
I told the manager about my experience to which he made a big performance about how this is the first time that has happened, he tried to gaslight me and denied a lot of what I said. He tried to charm us by offering another treatment to make amends, hell no not after that. I probably would have trusted his offer to remedy if he hadn’t continued to deny what we were saying about our experience, very shady. I come away to read the reviews and wow I am not surprised to learn further that this is how they make business. Disgusting and dishonest. The energy in the place is really off, I hope they can clean things up but it doesn’t seem that that is their intention. They seem quite apt at taking advantage of...
Read moreAvoid! Dirty, noisy, untrained staff, only got 45/60 minutes, and you may even get injured! I feel I need to do my part to bring this high rating down as it misled me into a horrible experience and I hope I can spare at least one person. The masseuse was actually kind but her service was unacceptable, so none of the criticism is meant to be personal but truly to try to avoid this happening again.
Cleanliness: The manager said he would change the face pillow and simply flipped it over, I’m not even sure the covering could be removed even if they wanted to clean it. When I finished I saw the masseuse roll the towel back up and set on the bed as I saw it when I entered apparently to be used for the next customer. My nose got plugged midway through the service and I noticed the masseuse was sniffling the whole time, which apart from being beyond annoying scares me as to what is in the air there.
Atmosphere: Over your typical nice flute melodies were staff yelling outside the room and phones ringing. My masseuse oddly watched me change back into my clothes and could not speak English or understand my gestures even enough to understand that I would prefer to change in private.
Massage: I love a high pressure massage, but at times it was simply not a massage as she would just push or shake my skin hardly or hit me. She clearly had no training. I went in with no problems and left with a cramp in my calf. I also have never had such a disorganized massage — she spent maybe 10 minutes on my legs and back and 30 on my chest and arms. She went back and forth between my chest and arms three times like she had forgotten she already did them, and most annoyingly, spent more time on one side than the other which leaves one feeling really lopsided and unsatisfied. She also didn’t know how to position herself or the tables are too high because when she did my shoulders her stomach kept hitting my head and face. Also, shockingly, at the end she tried to massage my face with oil! And without washing her hands! I don’t think you should ever use oil on your face and definitely not after touching anything else, even your own body. I have had several massages with non-English speakers and normally don’t have a problem communicating but there were so many problems I really wish she did because gestures didn’t cut it...

TL;DR - save yourself and continue your search for a different spa spot.
First thing I am confused about, are these online reviews. They can not be honest or serious. Truth be told, anything that concerns Dahab and online reviews are incorrect and mostly enforced by giving away discounts or things for free to guests.
Anyways, to this place. It is a fake, bacteria infected, unprofessional, disgusting, overprized spa tourist trap.
The cleopatra package is a "full treatment" including massage, steam bath, manicure, pedicure, and facial.
Massage - the masseuse was not a professional. At one point she decided to actually go ontop of me and use her knees to massage. I figured okay maybe this is what they do in Egypt I mean they do walk ontop of you in other spots on this planet. But overall non of the massages she did made any sense. Absolutely horrid and I was really afraid of my back especially when she started to jump up and down on my back. Avoid at all cost.
Steam bath - a dingy, make-shift, DIY gone-wrong, nasty room. I question highly the sanitation of that place. They gave us additionally a coffee scrub which in the end was just regular blended coffee in water mixed up on a rough scrubbing glove. Be aware that these masseuse have no sense of how hard they apply these gloves. They will scratch your skin bloody. Avoid at all costs.
Mani / Pedi / facial - horrible, old, over used facility with seats that look from the 80s. And not in a good vintage way. No. Imagine a run down barbershop that you see anywhere. Two days after this treatment my entire face bursted out in rashes and pimples. Save yourself not only money but a healthy skin. This is also something to avoid at all costs.
Overall I hope anyone reading this will understand that this is not a place to visit or go to in general. This is without a doubt a trap and it should be made illegal to have them...
