I was extremely disappointed with my last experience in Athanor. This was my 3rd time eating there but was met with carelessness.

I usually get the pizza and I thought it would be worth the shot to try something new. I asked the waiter what’s in the patty and he just said lettuce and tomato. I just said he probably is uneducated on the matter which is definitely not okay but not as bad as what happened next.

I received my burger. Mind you there were no fries with it and the fries he asked me about when I was ordering turned out to be an extra.

When I was eating my burger, I found this curly short hair and it made both me and my friend super disgusted. I call the waiter and tell him about the hair and he then says “well it must have fallen from you” I literally looked at him in complete shock as the hair found was a super short curly hair clearly belonging to a male while my hair, well much longer and straight. Instead of apologizing, he just said that it must have fallen from my lashes. CURLY!!!!

We just asked for the check and told him to take the burger and the fries away. He comes back a bit later with the check and I was surprised to see that we still had to pay for that.

The day before, 3 of us went to a nearby restaurant and when our ice-cream tasted so unusually sweet, the waiter who was asking for our feedback refused to take a pound no matter how much we insisted that he does.

Athanor, work on your quality and the way you treat your clientele before...

Terrible place, would NOT recommend. I was visiting from Canada and went there today with my friends. Asked the waiter for a pizza and asked him to put the olives on just half the pizza as i was sharing the pizza with my friend who doesn't want olives on his half. Got me a pizza with half of it has just olives ONLY with no other topping. I told him nicely that's not what i ordered as i wanted the pizza i ordered from the menu with no olives in one half (that's all). Started being aggressive and was very rude and tried to debate with me that I'm wrong, then he said he will fix it and just added some RAW mushroom on top and when i asked him did that mushroom go in the oven with the pizza, he lied and said yes it did but the mushroom was raw and cold infront of me. Then when i told him I'm not gonna eat this, u need to fix it or make another one. He went inside and started yelling, totally rude. Then we waited for like half an hour and they didn't even bring any pizza, they just took it back and that's it. So we asked for the cheque and even left there hungry and went to eat somewhere else more professional. A business which doesn't choose wisely who works for them, tells me how they will treat their customers. Miscommunication happens, no big deal, but their response to the situation was insane. If that was in any decent restaurant, i would've got another pizza with the correct ingredients at the least. Instead, they were punishing me for their mistake. If i could give zero stars, i would. Our farewell lunch at Athanor Pizzeria Dahab was an absolute highlight of our time together. With a group of four, we indulged in two pizzas, pasta, and soups, and each dish exceeded our expectations.

The consensus among us was unanimous: the food was exceptional.

Even our friend from China remarked that the soup was among the best she had ever tasted.

The pizzas were, as always, superb, and the seafood pasta left us in awe of its deliciousness.
