Aquarium du Limousin — Attraction in Limoges

As a family of 4 we had a great time, the lady at the entrance was very friendly and although I purchased the tickets in French she explained where to go and what to do in English as my French is basic.

There is a good variety of fish with explanations and descriptions at each tank on both plaques and on tablets.

Signposts/plaques and info is in French and English, the tablets language can be changed to multiple languages, Dutch, German, English, etc.

The kids really enjoyed viewing the colorful fish, shrimp, electric eels, jelly fish, and everything really!

Kids get a step to take around with them so they can see in all the tanks.

Near the end one of the staff members asked is if we would like to feed the fish which we did, we were also allowed to touch them which the kids enjoyed. Again, the staff member spoke both French and good English.

This is a very lovely aquarium. I have visited many and although it is not as big as others the aquariums are very nice and clean. The staff is wonderfull! I have never witnessed a lady at the front desk tell so much about the visit. The staff is very friendly, hands out food and shows visitors on what to look for, for example the baby seahorses that where born this morning. I also enjoyed the amazon and tanganyika tanks, they have a variety of tanks with fish you can buy in shops and have at home and I love how they were maintained. L'aquarium de Limoges. 5 étoiles oui bien sûr. Un lieu atypique, Environ 1h,30 de visite. Plus si vous lisez flânez et surtout discutez et écoutez avec le personnel de l'aquarium. Passionné et passionnant. Un vrai bonheur. C'est pas "juste" un aquarium ce qui est déjà très bien mais c'est un refuge, pour des animaux de laboratoire ou retrouvé ou abandonné par des gens sans cœur qui devraient avoir honte. Bref ça c'est dit. Ce lieu a été créé par un médecin génial altruiste, malin débrouillard et juste une belle âme comme il en existe partout heureusement qui agissent. Un lieu dédié à la destruction transformé en refuge'. Un très beau lieu de nombreuses espèces à découvrir et une petite surprise à la fin de la visite inattendue

On quitte cet aquarium avec le sourire, avec plein de nouvelles connaissances sur la faune. Et toujours plus envie de protéger la merveilleuse diversité marine qui existe en France et sur la Terre. Autre point positif. Cet aquarium fonctionne grâce aux visiteurs. Aux dons privés , aucune subvention !! Cette visite ma réjouit au plus haut point. Lentree est pas cher vraiment, c'est pour payer les frais de fonctionnement de l'aquarium, accueillir les animaux et les soigner et les faire découvrir au public dans un endroit atypique.. Les poissons sont heureux dans ce lieu entouré de bonnes ondes et de passion.

Courrez y. Moi j'ai pris ma carte d'abonnement..car j'y retournerais avec plaisir quand je repasse par limoges. et j'y emmènerais toutes les personnes qui désirent découvrir un aquarium avec.
