We had lunch here on the day the Tour de France finished in Limoges. We had booked and the restaurant was quite busy but we were offered the choice to eat outside rather than inside and advised that it would be cooler to do so (it was a very hot day). The table in the charming old square was shaded and subject to a cooling breeze. It was too hot to eat much but what we did have was reasonably priced for the quality. Food arrived quickly. Dorade with fennel and clafoutis were very much enjoyed. All the staff we encountered were helpful and considerate of non-French speakers' needs. Read moreI was invited by my son to celebrate my birthday at the Petits Ventres Restaurant. Located in the medieval part of Limoges, the restaurant has been wonderfully rstaured. The atmosphere is unique; great traditional French food, including an amazing home made birthday cake brought with lit up candles by the owner herself and her team. The ancient square with the beautiful buildings around us was a perfect setting.
