This is truly an Instagram hype shop - not a long term solution for mature informed women with long term money to spend. I think the management believes, like them, that the rest of us were born yesterday! So here’s my story.
The management asked me to send multiple photos of the back of my head via Instagram and then proceeded to tell me things I already knew about my own hair. Then she says “you need our Botox treatment” which I’m pretty sure is just olaplex which I’ve been using for 10 years and I’m also it’s illegal to use the brand name Botox for something that has nothing to do with Botox lol. Anyway, then they make you show pictures of what you want claiming that they have special, different processes for doing hair. So okay I did that and I went ahead with the service - paid 350 euro in advance. As if I’m a poor thief who is going to run out on my tab lol. (Again this is not really a place for wealthy individuals).
So I get the service and honestly they did a great job and the stylists were very nice and respectful. The color was great. But they used the teasing method (which I did allow at the time) but wouldn’t do again because it’s damaging - they really should have just asked which method I would prefer up front instead of taking days of back and forth messages to look at my hair and pictures and prescribe something that they think I want. Are the majority of clients who go here just not informed? Anyway, had I been able to speak better French I would have preferred the painting technique because now my ends are damaged from the teasing even though she did trim my ends.
So at this point I accepted their process, although unnecessarily complicated. I accepted all of this crazy back and forth communication despite the fact that I should just be able to book my appointment online no questions and receive a very common highly quality hair service. I accepted because I trusted they did great hair, and the color they produced was excellent. Unfortunately THEN I ask the brand of color they use. I should have asked before but I was running on little sleep and a little discombobulated from the unconventional communication. I have allergies to hair color and also because I live in both the US and France and need to color my hair every 4-5 weeks, I always know my brand and formula. My Manhattan stylist always gives me my formula so I can touch up as needed in whatever country I’m in. So the girl says, “we don’t disclose the hair color brand we use to customers” lol what!! I just can’t with these girls. I’m sorry but it’s not professional and not normal not to provide at least the brand of color you use to your customer. It’s frankly, unethical.
So long story short, unfortunately I have to go elsewhere for my hair styling needs in the future. They give me no choice but to find another salon. This shop is simply not managed to attract and keep informed, wealthy clientele. It’s a hype shop! Sad to have to now find another shop to figure out the correct color to match my roots! A huge hassle for something that could have been much more straight-forward. Best of luck to...
Read moreNot worth the money!! Avoid! I did a root touch up and ombre hair color (red) on 29th May in this salon. There are few points I really did not like you have to pay 80 euro advance to book appointment, if you do not make it in time you lose the deposit. You can cancel the RDV 72 hours before! Inconvenient for emergency but not a big deal. once you reach you have to pay the full amount in cash ( looks shady for tax saving as its a big amount to be paid) I had to walk to the atm to get the cash.. I paid total 250 euros for the service The girl who worked on my hair did not speak English so there was no interaction whatsoever which is OK but wasn't a very pleasant/comfortable experience for me tbh as I could not ask any questions or raise concerns during the 5-6 hours of service that I was in the salon I chose red color for ombre and needed a root touch up for my grey hair. She did the bleach on my hair first and then she worked on 2 other clients at the same time. I was kind of forced to do botox for 40 euros as they claimed the hair is damaged and it must be done, I agreed thinking it will be good for my hair but it only is useful for that day.. More like a conditioner once you wash the hair there is no effect left..not worth 40euros! -The technique of coloring isn't that great, she washed off the bleach and applied the root touch up and the red ombre on the sink itself which was very uncomfortable. This is where I felt it could be improved as applying root touch on wet hair is not a good idea ( on the basin where they wash hair) , there were sections of grey hair left at the back of my head (photos attached). Then again I was left near the sink sitting uncomfortably to wait for color to develop while she worked on other clients. Finally the hair is washed and she applied so called botox and again I had to wait for it to work. Finally she did the haircut which was no where close to the inspo video I showed her and she blow dried the hair. I washed my hair a week after just as told by them with color protect shampoo and conditioner and I see lot of red color in my bathroom which was odd as I have been colouring my hair for 15 years now and never saw such color bleed but then I had done red for the first time so thought maybe it's normal. After I dried the hair I already noticed the red has changed to more of brown blonde which was shocking. I wash it second time and the color has become more blonde and when I msged them about it.. About having sections of grey hair at the back and color no where looking like red they simply brush off saying color fades, you need to use good products Bla Bla... I could have been OK if that happened after 2-3 months but just 2 washes and seeing the disaster of my hair made me feel very disappointed with them. Will never ever recommend to anyone. Please avoid. They did not even own and apologise for their mistakes.. Worst experience ever.!!! Not at all worth 250 euros.....
Read moreThe lady who addressed me (long dark hair, arab most likely) was extremely rude and unprofessional.
When I made my booking I was told that it would cost €280, and that the deposit of €50 would be counted towards the total.
When I arrived I was told I had to pay €315, BEFORE even getting my hair done, and that was EXCLUDING the €50 that I had paid as the deposit since I had arrived a bit late (due to important family matters I had to attend to beforehand).
That would have had amounted to €365 in total. Far from what I was initially supposed to pay. And what kind of salon expects you to pay BEFORE the service?
Nobody had explained this to me beforehand. When I politely asked for clarification, she started getting extremely rude and arrogant with me.
I couldn’t explain myself properly in french so I had to explain in english. And obviously since she couldn’t speak english, she started being rude to me in french.
In the end I lost €50, they lost both a potential client forever and €230 for the day, and I decided to bring my business elsewhere.
I said thanks anyway while leaving and they snickered and responded in a very sarcastic way, obviously glad that I had lost the €50 for nothing.
Extremely unprofessional. If she had only bothered to politely explain things instead of getting rude, I might have stayed.
Just because you charge a deposit does not mean you can treat your clients rudely and unprofessionally and force them to walk away while you pocket their deposit.
Unfortunately because of my bad experience I will never recommend this...
