For context, we (family of 3, dad, mum and 5 year old daughter) visited Disney Land Paris (DLP) for 3 days
Of all the attractions in DLP, this has got to be the worst and the best at the same time! Be prepared for a long, Looooong wait, go to the loo first, bring food, drinks and things to keep your little ones entertained.
I think DLP Senior Management are really missing a selling point here, this is their "STAR" attraction and its by far the worst planned. Management really need to rethink the planning and layout of this place, staff are doing the best they can with what they have and the Princesses are doing all they can do to put a smile on a childs face after such a long wait.
On average waiting times are 3 hours plus, we started queuing around 0930Hrs and didn't get out on the other side until 1230Hrs, a solid 3 hours later.
Don't let the outside line fool you if its long or short, that 200 minutes waiting time is from outside by the door. Once your in it you enter a circle shaped building with a spiral like queue, expect to sit on the floor. At one point for 30 minutes we barely moved 5 metres, I was glad we went in a cooler April, I would hate to imagine how unbearably hot it might get in there during the height of summer. As one customer I overheard, it was like a Refugee camp and he wasn't far wrong.
There are only ever 1 or 2 Princesses on "Shift", you don't get to choose or see which one until you are allowed in and at that its pot luck which one you get. There's no Elsa or Anna (as they are not official Disney Princesses) only the classical Princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle and Tiana being the most recent). I think there shifts rotated every 30 to 60 minutes, so one would leave to be replaced by another.
My daughter was lucky, she wanted Snow White, she got Snow White, spent about 5 minutes with her, talking, hugging and taking photos with her etc before finishing. You are allowed to take you own on your phone or camera, but I think the princesses are contractually obliged not allowed to look directly at your camera, I may be wrong about this.
Your then ushered to the photo shop where boy do they price gouge you because they know they can. 40 Euros (as of April 2025) gets you 3 photos, framed in a cardboard frame (think school photos but slightly better) and digital download.
So best because your kids (especially girls into Disney Princesses) will love it, worst because you'll have to put up with their impatience, crying, tantrums if they don't get the princess they wanted. Oh and did i mention LONG WAITS.
Also Pro Tip! and this may save you a) a lot of time and b) said tantrums. Whilst waiting for the queue I saw Tiana arrive, then when the hell was finally over around 1230Hrs we saw Snow White leave the Pavilion (probably for lunch) heading in the same direction I saw Tiana came from. Heading the opposite way to Snow White was Belle. We ended up having to follow Snow White for a bit because our daughter was chasing her (thankfully she wasn't quick enough to bother her). But I noticed that she went to a "cast members only" just west of the Casey Jr Train ride, having seen other princesses come from that direction, I suspect that was where they got ready.
But a word of warning, be prepared for jostling when they get mobbed by children and even some adults, the Princesses cannot break character so they do have minders (read "Security Detail") to ensure this, autograph by the child and a sneaky pic by parent is all you might get. Also this is...
Read moreI already posted this review on Disneyland Paris’s Google review. And I wanted to bring this truly awful experience which shouldn’t happen at the first place from a well-known Disneyland to your attention here too!
Disneyland is truly a place where dreams come true especially for children. However, my recent experience was marred by an unacceptable encounter with a staff member named Nicolas at Pavillon des Princesses at 2.40pm today, 27th-Dec-24.
Nicolas's behavior was alarming and contradictory to the usual warm and welcoming Disneyland spirit. He was arrogant, dismissive, and shockingly rude to my distressed 6 years old child. His refusal to make eye contact only added to the upsetting scene. It’s disappointing to see Disneyland tolerate rude behavior from staff in area primarily catering to children.
What's more concerning is that my child's simple request was initially agreed upon by Nicolas's colleagues, but he chose to override them causing my daughter to become visibly upset and distressed.
As a parent, it's disheartening to see a representative of this iconic brand behave in...
Read moreSo this experience is hit and miss. The highest con is the queue is notoriously horrendous. Can easily be 2 hours +. When we went, it was a 4 hour queue. Luckily for us, we got in the queue very early and we were 3rd in the queue, but it did not open until 10am that day despite magic hours being 8:30am. The other con is you do not know what princess you are meeting, so if you return more than once during your trip, you can potentially be queuing a long time to meet the same princess. I also find it seems to be the same princesses quite often, and it is not good at being varied. There can be 1-2 princesses at any one time, but you only get to meet one. We gor lucky on our last visit as we got told to go right and it was princess jasmine, whereas we overheard from the family coming out that snow white was on the left. Weve met a variety of princesses here, but never been lucky enough to meet Cinderella here. During COVID (we came in August 2020) we were unable to meet a princess and just got to sit in a...
