Disappointing Experience at Auberge de Cendrillon
We visited Auberge de Cendrillon to finish off what had been a magical weekend in Paris and Disneyland, but unfortunately, our experience was far from magical. Within the first 10 minutes, we encountered one of the rudest waitresses I've ever met. Her behavior was so off-putting that we felt compelled to request a table change just to be served by someone else. For the three of us, the meal cost €240, and I wish I could say it was worth it.
After spending three days walking around Paris and Disneyland, we were understandably exhausted. It was our last evening, and my 9-year-old daughter was so tired she was nearly falling asleep at the table before we even ordered. We were still in good spirits, but apparently, not happy enough for the waitress. When she approached us to take our order, she did so without saying a word. After I ordered, my wife placed an order for herself and our daughter. Out of nowhere, the waitress accused me of having a problem with her. The accusation was abrupt, rude, and completely unprovoked, leaving both my wife and me shocked.
What upset me most was when my daughter asked if she had done something to annoy the waitress. That was the final straw, and we requested to move tables. Throughout the rest of our meal, the original waitress continued to throw dirty looks our way. Due to her neglect, we were the last to receive our food, which arrived cold. Even Snow White, who was present for the character dining experience, barely spoke to us.
For one of the most expensive meals we had during our visit to Disneyland, it was also one of the worst experiences. We consider ourselves polite and courteous people, and my daughter has excellent manners. As I write this review, I'm still at a loss for what went so wrong.
Please think twice before dining here, or risk experiencing it for yourself. €240 for rude service, dirty looks, cold food, and a disappointing encounter with Snow White—save your money and your magical memories for...
Read moreBooked the breakfast here with princesses. It’s beautiful inside and really feels royal, we were first seated round the corner of the restaurant away from all the other people because we had a very small baby and requested to be out of the way, my husband also has a severe nut allergy and I understand there’s a lot of nutty foods being served here (Nutella on the tables etc) so this was also great to be away from others consuming them. All was going great with our server who seated us and we started getting comfortable when another waitress out of the blue appeared quite aggressively and told us to get up as we couldn’t sit there, we explained that we had just been seated by her colleague and she was being quite rude about us not being able to sit there. My husband wanted to see a manager and he agreed and said we was fine to sit there. This waitress (maybe the same one that’s been mentioned in a few reviews on here) disappeared as she was clearly wrong I’ve knocked a star off for her behaviour. Anyway the experience was absolutely wonderful, seeing my daughters face at the princesses was priceless and made booking this so worth it, we had Snow White, sleeping beauty & Cinderella they were all so sweet and spent so much time with us. Our waitress was an angel and made sure my husbands allergies were well catered for and she couldn’t have done more for us, so so grateful for her, yes the food is abit too fancy and I can see why it’s hard for children as it’s not your usual food, my daughter enjoyed her hot chocolate and pastries also the Mickey waffles and sausages, I also saw they had a box of coco pops so I requested those which...
Read moreLet's be clear, it is astronomically expensive. €300 for 2 adults 2 kids 6 y.o and 3 y.o. That aside, it is wonderfully immersive and young kids, particularly girls in my experience were absolutely enthralled by meeting princesses up close and getting a chance to talk and interact with them. My daughters met Cinderella, Aurora, Jasmine and Snow White, luckily both daughters favourite princesses were there. Each princess spent approximately 5/10 mins at the table, taking photographs, chatting, dancing, signing autographs in their book and were happy to give both girls hugs. Couple of character mice from cinderella too, which were every bit as interactive as the Princesses. Now the food is not aimed towards kids, or adults really to be honest. My wife and kids ate very little. The food wasn't really up to much. The soup starter wife and girls had was pretty bland and tasteless, with a weird jelly puree thing in the bottom. It is poured for you by the server which adds to the experience but it is pretty bland. I had the duck pate and it was definitely a better choice. The chicken main was very tasty and the meat was nice and moist and the mushroom sauce was nice and rich. The mash was weird and tangy with the cheese and not particularly nice. I got the fruit salad dessert which was swimming in a peppermint water which didn't really mix too well. The kids got pasta and sauce, very basic and very bland. Dessert for the kids was a very rich chocolate mousse in a white chocolate shoe, "cinderella surprise" All in all, very enjoyable but outrageously expensive, and definitely a...
