I picked this restaurant based on positive reviews, but this was the worst Italian food AND worst service I've ever had in my life. My friends and I were in Berlin for the marathon, and like all runners, we chose Italian for a carb-y meal. Unfortunately, I soon realized that this restaurant deliberately overbooked themselves for the cash grab.
It was clear that the staff could not handle the volume of guests. There was a long lineup of people waiting in the cold for their table. We were quickly asked to order, and we did.
When the food arrived, my pasta was overcooked and flavourless. One friend's pasta was al dente but also flavourless. How do you even make Bolognese taste like nothing? You would do better buying sauce from a supermarket. They asked if we wanted Parmesan, neglecting to note that they charge extra for a few flakes of cheese — or what other restaurants offer complimentary.
But worst of all: Just 40 minutes after serving our dishes, they told us they were so busy, we had to leave so others could sit down. Is it normal to expect people to eat and get out in 40 minutes? Not at any respectable restaurant.
Do not come here if you like good food or dislike rude service. And don't be fooled by the nice-seeming photos, like I was — at best, the place looks basic in real life.
I expressed my disappointment in the food and service to the waiter, who did not have the courtesy or decency to apologize. If I could give this place 0...

The food here is quite average—nothing special. There are plenty of better Italian restaurants in Berlin that offer much more in terms of quality and authenticity, so I’m genuinely surprised this place has such a high rating.
Although the menu advertises beer on tap, they actually pour it from bottles, which feels misleading. The same goes for the juices—they come from large plastic containers rather than individual glass bottles, so you’re left guessing about the quality or origin of what you're drinking.
Accessibility is also a serious issue. The disabled toilet is unusable because it's being used as a storage room. If you have mobility needs, this place isn’t equipped to accommodate you.
Service is slow and disorganized, and there’s a worrying lack of attention when it comes to food allergies. Staff don’t seem to take dietary restrictions seriously and mix different types of food carelessly.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place—there are far better options...
Read moreNow, I know this is a really specific experience, but oh my god was it bad. Made a reservation for 7. Got there and there was a huge line. Asked a waitress outdoors if it was the line for reservations and she snapped at us. Turns out they weren't prepared for the rush over the Berlin Marathon weekend and had SEVERELY overbooked. Could only get a seat outside - it was freezing, no heaters. Waited in line for an hour. Ordered immediately inside, was over an hour again before we got any food.
Got a pizza, which was pretty good. Carbonara, which was bad. It was spaghetti in olive oil... That's it. Asked if I wanted parmesan, like yes?! It came on the side. Caesar salad was depressing - limp lettuce in milk, essentially. Bruschetta was decent. They wouldn't bring out appetisers separately because it would "take too long".
A bottle of water was 9 damn euro.... Staff weren't at all apologetic. No offer of anything to accomodate how horrible the experience was.
Add on top of all of that, the owner was running around barking at people, swatting at them, and being generally horrible to people trying to visit his restaurant. Will...
