Worst concert venue I’ve ever been to.
I attended the Asake concert, and while the performance was great, the venue left a lot to be desired. The sound system seemed overly focused on high frequencies, making the sound feel muddy and lacking detail.
The venue itself felt ill-equipped to handle the large crowd. Here’s why:
Only one entry point for the number of people attending, which created unnecessary congestion. The wardrobe area is poorly located, right along the exit route. After the concert ended, the queue for the wardrobe was so long it blocked the pathway, making it incredibly cramped. The stairs from the ground floor up to the third floor became packed with people. It felt very dangerous—if one person had fallen, it could have caused a chain reaction. Staff seemed poorly trained. There were managers at the exits, but no one was directing the crowd or managing the flow of people, which made things feel chaotic and unsafe. Bar service was severely understaffed. We waited at least 25 minutes to get a drink.
Although the venue looks new and modern, it’s not designed to safely or efficiently handle a large audience. The entire system feels like a failure, with unprofessional staff contributing to the long wait times for everything.
I felt really uncomfortable at the Uber Eat Music Hall. If you're attending a small event, it might be fine. But for larger concerts, I’d recommend skipping it—it’s far from guest-friendly.
Additionally, the lack of proper ventilation made it feel stuffy, like you couldn’t get enough air. The drinks were overpriced, and the cup deposit system was unnecessarily complicated. I didn’t get my deposit back and was too many people queuing to explain deposit situation.
I won’t be coming back. The air quality was poor, the staff seemed uninterested in customer care, and the overall experience was...
Read moreThere is not enough cloack room space. I went to see Odesza and we arrived about less than an hour after the door opening and there was absolutely no space for our jackets. We had to carry our heavy winter coats everywhere. It was an absolute disaster!!!!! They don’t let you in with a bag bigger than A/4. People behind the bar work like sloths, they are also pouring everything into cups. Even water from a plastic bottle poured into a cup. Why?! Just take the lid away if anything . With this there is so much extra waste created, i really hope they recycle!!! Bins overflowing, nobody emptying them. Absolutely no crowd control. The concert hall itself has a great sound and we had a good view. But besides that, everything about Verti Music Hall was an absolute disaster. It is a new venue, it is beyond me how they can operate it with such a low standards?! I will avoid this venue in the future with all costs. Especially in the winter when i have heavy coats and i had to hold onto them for hours on end ruining the experience of the concert. Oh almost forgot there was a LOT of empty coat space at the PREMIUM ticket holder area, it was technically empty and there were no premium ticket holders to use it, but they still refused us to use it for our coats. Disgusting behaviour! Only hot water coming from the taps so if you want to drink more, prepare to pay 3.5 euros/bottle. No chance of having tap water at all. Toilets + bars + coat check are all too small for...
Read moreThe venue is OK sound-wise but many things are odd: The security staff did not control me at all, they asked me to open my jacket but didn't check anything apart from my ticket, not even my small bag. Wanna give your coat? 3€ in cash. Wanna buy a drink? It's cashless, getting your money back for your glass is also cashless. Make it make sense, be cashless everywhere. The queues inside the building are badly managed, people giving back their glasses at snail pace mixed with people getting their coats back and people getting out having to go through this. The entire staff, except at the bar, was rude. The mens bathroom consisted of one broken faucet, one faucet with way too much water pressure, and one working fine. Things are not well indicated. The chair numbers are very small and badly placed thus people don't know where is their seat, the fact that the entry of the building is not its exit is not well indicated, the zone were people should not stay during the concert is not well indicated (but they have security people coming to them in 5 seconds to tell them to move out).
This made attending this Jamie XX concert more frustrating than it should be, especially leaving the venue. On the + side, the bathroom I used was well maintained and had enough space for everyone to do their...
