A worthwhile visit in Kefalonia is visiting the capitol Argostoli, whether its shopping, night life, culture, museums(earthquake museum is worth visit, so is Argostoli culture museum (Corgialenous). Maybe, if you're lucky view the turtles in the mornings by the bay area- its really magical. Can be warm during the day, so stay hydrated, there are plenty of cafes, restaurants & shops to visit to take the heat out of the day. Was part of a package visit bought from a local tourist agency office in Skala Town centre. Tour guide was very friendly, English speaking. They picked us up from our hotel & was very knowledgeable about the local history. Also visited Italian war memorial & St Theodore Lighthouse - the views are really beautiful - well worth a visit...
