This is one of the the best and my favourite places I have ever stayed in whilst traveling. The staff are super knowledgeable and 100% helpful in every thing you ask with detailed information on all topics and geographical information in Athens and Greece's vast places to visit, not to mention their sense of humer is next level and most of the days had me in stitches and they are a real pleasure to be around. I stayed here for quite some time whilst I visited some of the fabulous attractions in Greece and saw quite a lot of guests come and go... I must say that anyone whom has rated them less than 5 stars are just moaning complainers who are either trying to get a discount or just generally moaning buggers who are only happy when they are themselves moaning and complaining, we all know people like this. The cleaning staff are everyday doing a fantastic job keeping the standards exceptional even though some very lazy guests who I say have had a terrible upbringing and are very lazy and disrespectful where treating the hostel like a hotel in which they had paid hundreds of euros to be treated like royalty again we all know people like this Clean up after yourselves
The price is set to be extremely competitive and is Impossible to beat for the level of service and cleanliness. The location is central to the metro and only a few steps away from supermarkets, kiosks and excellent places to find authentic Greek restaurants for eat in experiences or take away food. Even if you walk in to central Athens "which I recommend" it only takes 10 to 15 minuets and you pass hundreds of architectural wonders including museums, shops, markets, gardens & parks, and load of hidden relics dotted about the place. Zorbas really is the place to stay when you are in or passing through Athens and should be at the top your list of places to stay.
Don't forget to be nice and evrything will go your way. No one wants a miserable, complaining, lazy awkward traveler in there holiday schedule so if that's you I suggest going somewhere else and keep you comments to your self ...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Zorbas Hostel in Athens, Greece, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The hostel is conveniently located near a metro station and public transport stops, making it an ideal choice for exploring the city. I stayed there for 8 nights while attending an event in Greece, and afterwards, to explore the city.
One of the best things about Zorbas Hostel is its economical rates. As a budget traveler, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the rooms. Despite the low prices, the quality of the accommodation exceeded my expectations.
The staff at Zorbas Hostel were exceptional. They were incredibly friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to assist me with all my queries. They also provided excellent suggestions on places to visit, eat, and explore in Athens. Their warm and welcoming nature made me feel right at home.
The housekeeping staff at the hostel did a remarkable job in keeping the rooms and bathrooms clean and tidy. I greatly appreciated their efforts, as cleanliness is a top priority for me while traveling.
Another convenient feature of the hostel is the laundry facility. Being able to do my laundry on-site was a huge convenience, especially during a long trip.
One aspect that impressed me was the option to leave my valuables at the front desk. Initially, I was a bit skeptical, but I found that the items I left were securely kept. It provided peace of mind knowing that my belongings were safe while I was out exploring the city.
Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Zorbas Hostel. The combination of its ideal location, economical rates, friendly staff, cleanliness, and convenient facilities made my trip to Athens even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Zorbas Hostel to anyone looking for affordable, comfortable and hygienic...
Read moreAs a solo female traveler from South Africa, I was attracted to the price and after getting warned about the area, I booked the place knowing as a South African, my vigilance trait would keep me as safe as I could control. The staff there were lovely (keep in mind this was May 2023) and helpful, the beds were comfortable enough. I stayed in a few of the rooms and all had the issue of showers leaking onto the bathroom floor. The communal area was welcoming but the kitchen lacked cutlery (2 spoons isn’t enough). I was happy there until the staff broke the rule of an age limit and let a 74 year old man stay in my room. He groomed me for three days then asked me if I would like to join him in his bed as he was a lucky charm (skipper to skipper). I was unharmed but after letting the staff know, they let him stay for 2 more nights. They did move me from the room and thanks for 6 euros off my washing 🙄. After that I felt unsafe and uncomfortable. Clearly a woman’s safety was...
