Booked via booking .com . Based on reviews and web and hotel site brochure images all 5 star ratings for Majestic SkySuite in Meglachori Santorini. Upgraded to luxury suite with deluxe hot tub . Showing great outside space and oversized hot tub jacuzzi with waterfall for our 40th wedding anniversary. arrived Wednesday 18th of September because of flights was approx early by half an hour to check in . Text sent ahead to ask to drop bags then leave so cleaning could be finished . Returned half a later host showed quickly around apartment . Nice spacious very clean .however she then opened patio doors and pointed to outside space and quickly left . Having unpacked and been travelling for most of the day I went outside to find the jacuzzi not working and filthy .scum floating on the top . Not very inviting . Went out for meal thought would read instructions following day hoping t9 spend a full day outside relaxing and in and out of the hot tub. We were awoken abruptly at 8.30 by workmen on the wall to adjoining apartment banging and welding something then into our space .i text host to say jacuzzi not working who said someone was coming to fix it .reply you can still use it . I said was filthy and full of scum didn’t want to catch infection . This went on for three days numerous excuses and workmen no result . We constantly was inside or went out of the way to accommodate. On Saturday with Sunday being our 40th anniversary we packed our bags and request to be refunded the remains days and I had already pre booked another suite elsewhere . After a heated conversation with the owner he agreed to refund and I made him pay for the other property . With agreement difference €200 euros to be refunded by the Monday . Several text later I said I would be giving reviews of the expectations v the reality and publishing on all platforms . His text became more sinister by ending “do you know who you are threatening “ be careful who you are threatening “ .left us as a 65 year old man and his wife frightened.Booking.com contacted .Poor reply trying to get at least our €200 back and some compensation for lack of facilities not hopeful . On my return I posted pictures and this review . Got a text from owner saying unfair and since he has had review taken down .so still all 5 star. Reviews. Very clean and large apartment shower and living area . ||Outside however did not live up to expectations. |We booked deluxe suite with grand hot tub for our 40th wedding anniversary having seen reviews from previous guests. Web site images on booking .com and own web site .|Arrived Wednesday slightly earlier than check in time allowed to leave bags and go out for a walk until later . Came back later,having been up since the early hours with planes and transfers looking forward to a dip in the hot tub .|Hot tub hydro massage and waterfall fountain not working ,water scum on top and filthy in bottom . Didn’t want to use as it was. Rudely awoken following morning at 8.30 no advance warning ,workmen on adjoining suite wall hammering and welding . Then they came into our outside space did same . Text sent to host reference hut tub not working and dirty .We were going to spend full day using the outside area but retired inside when guy came to fix . Text reply sent later said guy there 3 hours needed part but we could still use . Still not clean on our return . We had spent probably 3 hours out of the holiday outside at this point . Offered a meal and a bottle of wine but not taken . Text sent to owner stating not happy and bags were packed to move elsewhere but would give chance to enjoy what was left of our holiday .Got up Saturday morning hot almost empty and filthy see images . Sent text to say we were going out and our bags were already packed to move elsewhere to enjoy what was left of our holiday if not fixed. Whilst we were out text sent at 3 to ask if fixed said would be later possibly 5-6pm. .returned to find 4 men’s looking into access hole besides hot tub . Heated conversation owner agreed to refund 4 days so we could go elsewhere got him to reluctantly pay the other accommodation in the village which was €200 less . Agreed to refund difference by Monday .no compensation for lost amenities.|No refund when I sent text to ask for balance.reply’s that came back with wording that left us feeling threatened. WOW! If you are even slightly hesitating booking this place...DON'T!! Andriana is the BEST! She is super knowledgeable about the whole island and sent recommendation after recommendation, answered queries very quickly - she was literally 1 message away at all times. |The location is gorgeous...simply gorgeous. When we arrived we actually couldn't believe the size of it. It was huge with everything you could ever need. The villa we stayed in had a private pool and a huge terrace for us to relax on. There is a sofa, sunbeds, chairs and even a little bed outside if you need to take a break from the sun. The area is quiet but only a 3/4 minute walk into the village which, I have to say, was actually the most beautiful part of Santorini that we saw (Perissa is also great!) There are a handful of restaurants (strongly recommend Olio as the staff are the friendliest people ever!) and shops, all exquisite and unique, a lovely place for ice cream and, if you walk up the hill there is a cute place for breakfast and a bakery. You are a short walk to a supermarket (approx 10 mins) and another bakery. We got a taxi into Perissa (Black sand beach) which was unreal, and only 15 euros each way. That was more of a typical holiday 'strip' with loads of places to eat and drink and shop. We went into Fira which was lovely (and again, only 15 euros each way with a taxi) though a lot busier and nowhere near as pretty as where we were staying at Majestic Sky. |We have recommended it already to EVERYONE and will 1000% be back!
