Besides the Blue Domes in Oia this is probably the most famous spot in amazingly busy - but also amazingly romantic - Santorini. The best shots you get from the parking lot above the Three Bells. A close-up pic wouldn't make sense. We came by cruise and caught the three Bells with our ship in the back. Priceless pics and memories. To get to the vista point you just follow the street closest to the cliff heading west. When you get close to the Three Bells, there's signs every few meters, directing you to the parking lot. It might look like you got lost at first (going through some back roads), but you're on the right track. We were here in october around 3pm and there were a bunch of tourists....but no more than 20. It was a bright blue-skied day. Not sure it's always that empty (not according to the reviews) or we just got lucky. Great spot, great views. Worth the walk.
The Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, or famously known as the Three Bells of Fira, is arguably the most iconic building in Santorini. Located at the heart of Fira, the church architecture has the classic colour of blue and white. The dome of the Church, which is accessed from a road behind (easily accessible), is a perfect spot to click a postcard perfect picture. Pictures of this Church, usually taken from the top, capture the entire view of the Caldera and Aegean sea. One must be careful however as during peak tourist season, this area is very crowded. The Church was not open on the day we visited it. The Three Bells of Fira is a iconic building and a must visit, to enjoy the classic architecture and stunning views.
It's a wonderful place for my family 👪 to see 👀 for the first time the beauty of the Islands 🏝 picturesque scenery and architectural history homes 🏡 and enjoy the sunshine and sunset, the restaurants and the Black Sand beach which is just a walk away from where we stayed. The accommodation we had is a beauty too👍, good service with pool beside it 👌and transport to and from other parts of the island is a no problemo. A boat ride going to the active "volcano" it something to enjoy too. Really good island to relax and unwind for a while away from busy work life. Loved it. Thank you Santorini and to Jet2 holidays, hassle free flights and "Manchester Airport" and it's multi parking level. 💫💫💫💫💫
Lovely view of the blue-painted church dome and its three iconic bells overlooking the Caldera, the other islands and Oia in the distance. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the main part of Fira along the coast side. The steps you have to take to go up to it from the coastal path are clearly indicated on signs. There were other people there around 3pm in September, but it wasn't over crowded. There's also a parking lot right above it too with plenty of space to "take the best photo." Just under and on both sides of the church, there are a few restaurants with amazing terraces and views.
