Iriana — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

We went in because of the view and the good ratings and were extremely disappointed. Right after we came in with our 2 kids, some people sat behind us and started smoking - we asked for a table change but were denied. The service was super (super unacceptable) slow - got us 2 items and the pancakes did not arrive for 10 minutes after our first 2 things (greek sandwich and omlette) were done eating. The pancake looked very presentable (only positive other than good views) but was full of honey and so sweet we could not eat it well so if you don't like your pancakes dipped completely in honey, don't order or ask for honey on the side (which they are likely to forget IMO). We asked for one cup of hot water while ordering and then 3 times after - and finally I had to ask sternly the 4th time to get it. I don't understand how this place gets good reviews frankly.

EDIT: happy to see that someone took the time to respond - which is good. But unfortunate that there was factual misrepresentation of what happened so adding this edit. We did accept a table change but someone was on it at the time which we were told would move but either didn't or someone else came in to that other so no one moved us. How could someone ask for hot water 4 times in 2 minutes? Our first ask was when we ordered (and it didn't need to be complimentary if that's their reasoning to not give it to us on time or doing us a favor), second when we got our first batch of food (about 10 minutes later), and then 3rd when we got the late pancakes (another 15 minutes later) and the last (stern) when we were almost done another 10 minutes later. That's the fact.

We get busy processes but for someone rated this high (only reason we came into this restaurant when there are TONS of other choices with caldera views), that was...

Perched high above the Caldera in Fira, Iriana Café Lounge Bar gave me the Santorini sunset experience I had always dreamed of.

What a fantastic place to enjoy a cold drink and delicious food ! Our Host Alexander ( small) was so friendly and helpful - she really cared about food allergies and went out her way to chat and make us feel very welcome . There is a large selection of drinks and the food was delicious- especially the feta ! And the views !!!! Wow ! Just amazing ! The entire restaurant was extremely clean , including the kitchens and toilets . The service was fantastic, very friendly , quick and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the local wines and the bread in the sandwiches was so fresh and tasty .
