When we went there weren't many open expositions. The museum is setup on 4 floors and levels 2 and 3 have 2 sections, north and south, each section hosts an exposition, some of them are year round and others change. When we went there were only 2 exhibitions out of 4 that were available. The museum is based off donations so its worth it for the amount of stuff you get to see.

This was a nice place to stop in at for a bit while seeing the sites around the harbor. There are a few exhibits in the building along with the living art museum. Building itself is worth a stop in, lots of light, open spaces, beautiful lines and views. And art! Stop in, cool place!

Located in the former herring factory „Marshallhusid“. You can see the art of young local talents. Entrance is free but for sure feel free to donate some Icelandic Krona.

Free admission to very thought provoking art by young artists. I especially liked the piece about obsidian, perhaps poking fun at man's desire to take and exploit nature for capitalism and profit.

And I'm unsure if it was done on purpose, but the stair rail going from the top floor down on the side stairwell (sorry not sure how best to describe the location) was very gnarly with interesting textured grip and unique...

Worth the stroll out into this rather industrial part of the downtown. The arts have arrived, with this addition including restaurant, galleries and artist studio. The Musuem is actually an artist collective. We enjoyed the show that was on display, had a great conversation with the person at the front desk. This is what an art scene looks like. Excited to see...
