This is a monument that was created when computer game Eve Online had it's tenth anniversary. The developers of Eve Online are called Crowd Control Productions (CCP) with their head office located in Iceland close to the monument itself. The monument consists of some monoliths as well as laser etched plates that contain the names of all Eve Online players registered at the time of the tenth anniversary. The monument itself is in OK shape but the laser plates are showing wear and damage which is a real shame. However this site remains a place of pilgrimage for Eve players, many of whom will visit the monument during the annual Eve Online Fanfest held in Reykjavik.
Designed by artist Sigurður Guðmundsson the monument was unveiled in May 2014 in front of a crowd of CCP employees and Eve Online players who were in Iceland for the annual Eve Online Fanfest event held in the nearby Harpa conference and exhibition centre.

Read moreA wonderful sculpture Caught just by the harbour Bay. An amazing view of the water and the boats. If you come while the sun is setting a amazing view of the sky you can see as I have added in my photos. There are restaurants nearby and places to eat and drink. I can hear seagulls and wildlife in the background. This place is free from traffic and noise pollution. There is a nice even decking to walk along. There are many benches to sit and take in the view point. this will be a nice place for photographers, for families, for friends and Partners to come and see. I also appreciate a very decayed boat I can see on the right from the sculpture or the left depending which way you are facing. There is something incredibly beautiful about still water. I am visiting in July 2018. It is 10 p. M. And 10°c....

Most of our corporation ended in the Solar Fleet alliance. Some are still in the game.
Even tho the names on the monument are in such a small font, I found a few of the names that I know and remember. My ingame name is...
