NOT WORTH IT FOR TWO PEOPLE OBNOXIOUS ENTRY FEE: Entry fee for a bowling alley is unthinkable to me. They charge Rs.60 per person JUST for enterting the premises! You would think maybe a drink or something is included.. nothing! Why not just charge people for the sport they want to play? Why else would someone want go there that they are charging entry fees? To watch the scenery? Charging me money to ACCESS a sport which will again cost me MONEY!? I'm guessing maybe during peak hours people got tired of waiting for a bowling game and used to leave so they started charging entry fees to ensure they played or if they left that they earned something in the process. Clever way of earning income I'll give them that.
PARKING FEE: The parking outside is Rs.50 be it for 5 minutes or 10 hours. But here's the catch: you can't just keep the car in the parking and go somewhere else like Nicco Park, no Sir, you HAVE to go to Nicco Bowl and STAY THERE or come out of there straight into the car and leave (explained by the parking personnel over there). If you choose to go to Nicco Park the parking fee will be Rs.100. We played one game of bowling, lasted 15 minutes, had to pay Rs.50. There are shopping malls that charge lesser.
DECENT BOWLING with SLIMY bowling balls: Price for two people? One game: Rs.250 (if you add the entry fee that's actually Rs.310) The experience was nothing extraordinary. One game lasts 15 minutes. But the bowling balls were just downright GROSS to hold. All the bowling balls were oily and it felt like I'm dipping my fingers into germs whenever I held a ball. After the game was over I immediately went to the restroom to wash my hands with soap. The toilet thank the heavens did not stink and was pretty hygeinic.
Total time spent: 15 minutes. Total expense: Rs.120 + Rs.250 + Rs50 = Rs 410. Worth it? Absolutely not. The entry fee makes it terrible value. Probably with a lot of people it would be worth it but I have no idea about those packages and I can't get the slimy bowling balls...
