Taj Deccan, Hyderabad — Hotel in Hyderabad

Our first stay at Taj group of hotels and it was a memorable one! Starting from the check in at reception, we were greeted warmly with a Tulsi mala and a cool welcome drink. Then we were escorted by the courteous staff to our room. The rooms were cozy and well maintained. The toiletries and other amenities were stacked up perfectly. I want to mention few names of the staff for their outstanding service during our stay which added value:

Mr. Saleem - Tennis Coach at Taj Deccan: Mr. Saleem was warm and very courteous to provide us a great service to enjoy tennis activities during our stay. He went out of the way to come on his weekly holiday to ensure we enjoy a good game of tennis.

Mr. Sajid - Swimming and Fitness instructor at Taj Deccan: Mr. Sajid provided great encouragement to my son to enjoy couple of good swimming sessions during our stay. He provided the accessories required like float to ensure my son had a dream experience. He helped us enjoy the steam bath after our workout sessions.

Mr. Jay - Staff at breakfast counter at Taj Deccan: Mr. Jay was very warm in providing us good service during our breakfast. He recommended good food options and gave us service at our table.

My mom and I stayed for 7 nights back in August 2022. I am a little late with this review, but better late than never.

We had an exceptional stay at the Taj Deccan. We were visiting from the USA. Housekeeping 10/10, Service 10/10, Hospitality 10/10 and cleanliness 10/10.

This was our second stay at the property, first time being over 15 years ago. My mom wanted to stay here due to how reliable she felt the property and services were from prior experience and I was a bit hesitant. I feel bad that I even questioned the stay. It was more than I could have imagined for an extended stay experience.

I got very ill during the last few days of our stay and the staff was so considerate and accommodating. We even had to have a doctor come to the room late at night, which was prompt and professional. We had used laundry services as well that were great on a long vacation.

The only complaint I had was the construction that seemed to go on during the middle of the day, and I happened to be sick that day and I called down to request it to stop and they accommodated me. I am very grateful bc I needed the rest.

I forgot now our housekeepers name, but she was so wonderful. Anurima, Sailash Ray, Suman we’re also very great during our stay.

We will only be staying at the Taj Deccan on future visits, we consider it our home...

My review will start with a big thanks to the employees of Taj deccan. You people are amazing. I travel all over the world for my professional activities and I stay in at least 5 star properties everywhere. But I seldom find enthusiasm for giving reviews about those properties. Most of them offer a efficient yet cold and artificial welcome. Enough time in them and it's hard to differentiate one from another and it's impossible to remember the individual stay experiences. But here I got the exactly opposite. A warm genuine welcome and service with a hearty smile. I would be hard pressed to find another hotel where doorman welcomes the visitor with a enthusiastic smile and restaurant managers enquire why a particular guest is not eating enough and if they can do anything to make the guest eat a little more. Every employee I met had an open smile and a warm helpful attitude. The rooms are spacious and maintain a kind of old world charm with a nice little side pillow. 😍 The bathrooms are on the smaller side and lack some modern amenities but that is acceptable.

Overall a very pleasant experience and in my next visit to Hyderabad I would try to book...
