Once again it happened. The swamiji's certain men think they are supreme and are highly arrogant and rude. After chouki prasadam there is a queue to visit Swamiji to seek his blessings. Although tired from travel people wait in a long queue. As I had arrived from out of city that morning I was delayed in coming to the temple and had rushed to partake of the holy chouki prasada planning to offer cash as kaNike to the seer post lunch. As I stood in queue I saw a couple who had entered the sarvagna peeta room being asked rudely to step back and wait outside, by a tall bearded person who was guarding the door. I climbed the steep step and even as I told the guard that I have come for the seer's darshan and will offer kaNike and do not have a seva receipt he shouted at me in a loud voice with full sarcasm saying that he knows "my type of persons" and when I tried to plead my cause mildly saying that we have given Rathothsava last time his sarcasm saw a new peak and he shouted, Yes yes you would have given lakshadeepa utsava too! I was stunned and replied in a soft tone that Krishna is witness and he shouted again asking me to leave and plead elsewhere. I left and had the darshan of the benevolent most merciful Krishna. What made the pompous guard to show such sarcasm to a 60+ silk saree clad bejwelled Brahmin married lady who had been chanting Vishnu Sahasranaama before lunch and had stood chanting Hari naama in the queue? I just wanted the holy mantrakshate to send overseas for my family. I was planning to offer cash kaNike in lieu of the seva receipt. We visit twice or thrice a year and always offer substantial sevas. This time due to lack of time I had not done the receipt. Why show contempt towards a pious devotee? The same could have been gently told to her. Does the pompous guard know that the lady is a highly qualified professional but at the temple she behaves like a meek devotee? This is because she has fully surrendered to Krishna who surely witnessed the scene. Last year even with the seva receipt a person had behaved rudely. What is happening at the holy temple? Perhaps our humility is mistaken for something else.
