I wouldn't be exaggerating in the least if I say that this restaurant has the potential to compete with any high-end Chinese restaurant in terms of taste and food quality. Mind-blowing experience here. You get the taste of expensive restaurants combined with the affordability of cabin cultures and it's truly the best of both the worlds.
As you can see in the pictures I have provided with my review, they never compromise on the quantity. Infact for some dishes, even half a plate can serve two people easily. The Cantonese Gravy Noodles are one of the tastiest items here and as you can see it comes loaded with vegetables with a very generous amount of meat, and egg and prawns. Chicken in Oyster Sauce too has a beautiful umami texture, it's subtle and overall very different from what you are used to taste in many restaurants, and when I say different, I say "different" in a good way.
The Chilli Chicken however is a little less spicy here. It might taste on a subtler side to the people accustomed to the Desi Chinese of Kolkata. So, if you are looking to spice up you rice or noodles, choose a different dish. This works well if umami, subtle and wholesome is what you are going for.
The price is very reasonable and affordable. Two people can have a very satisfying meal within 500. However, the seating space is very small and if you go during rush hours, it might be difficult for you to find yourselves seats.
The place earlier wasn't so well decorated, but recently they have redone their decor with red chairs, new wall paint, and food quotes written on the wall. It looks neat and comfortable, cozy to be exact. But since, the seating space is less you might find yourself sharing a table with a stranger if you go alone. It can be a little uncomfortable at times, if you are an introvert like me, but honestly, the food is so up to the mark, that you forget the discomfort after a...
Read moreI recently paid a visit to this place after hearing a lot about them from my colleagues. Honestly speaking this place is a bit hyped. The taste of the food served here is good no doubt but not great or something that will make you come here again and again every month almost for no reason. Let me share my experience with you. First of all if you follow Google map you may find a little difficulty to find the exact spot as the shop itself is tiny. Ask the locals for more ease. Secondly I wonder how they call themselves a restaurant as the place is almost as tiny as a matchbox. Only 10 persons or so can sit that too without any of your bags or belongings mostly those consuming some extra spaces. They chairs are also peculiarly tiny which will definitely not make you enough comfortable before eating. I literally had to squeeze myself to fit into the place and had my food awkwardly. The only thing which I found that makes them a bit different from others is that they have half and full plate options for most of their items which makes this place a little low costly. They have a lot of chicken and pork items that are tasty. Overall if you are travelling alone or with one or persons maximum then you can definitely check this place for once. Otherwise if your are travelling with your family please avoid this place. You can take out parcel from them and eat somewhere else where you will get a...
