Tea Pea Café | Best Cafe in Borivali — Restaurant in Mumbai

I was recently notified about this place by a few of my friends to try it. I have seen this place from the outside a lot of times but never thought of visiting it. After a few recommendations, tried it. This is located on the main link road in Dahisar west. They have outside and inside seating. I have seen the pics of outside seating at night. It looks beautiful.

We went in noon so chose a place inside in the presence of A.C. I met Naresh who was managing the counter. He was polite and quick. I got to know that this food chain or Tea chain is in business since past almost 4 years and they currently have 4 outlets in Mumbai. Parking could be an issue for a 4-wheeler however you have space for 2-wheelers. So let's see what is good and bad.

Drinks/Beverages

The most popular coffee that almost all recommended was the COLD COFFEE BOURN. This was served in a glass made of glass. It was prepared and decorated like some frappe but it was better. This was a strong coffee mixed with bournvita or something similar. Chocolate powder was sprinkled over the top and on the rim of the glass. A straw is provided with it to slowly take it sip by sip. Considering this coffee being their specialty, the price is quite economical.

After getting impressed by the first item, we order some dishes (discussed later), we wanted something refreshing. We wanted to consume either the watermelon or Green Apple but the machine wasnt working hence we went for FIZZY GUAVA. This was a layered beverage. Here the guava concentrate was settled at the bottom and was mixed with Sprite. It looked beautiful and tasted even better. I thought only mocktails were better with Guava but such soda drinks also go well.

Food

After tasting the legendary Coffee, we were hungry. We scanned and menu and scanner stopped on LOADED FRIES. This was super amazing fries loaded with lots of cheesy sauce, onions, tomato, capsicum and Olives. This was the dish which stayed on our table from start to end (It was that heavy). It can easily serve two. The fries were crisp and perfect in taste too. Olives are love for me so that added to the experience.

Next up was an Indian Italian dish. I mean CLASSIC INDIAN PIZZA. This pizza was a medium pizza with lots of cheese and topped with Onion, tomato, and capsicum. The sauce was the normal pizza sauce and base was a classic pan pizza. It came with oregano and chilli flakes. It was heavy as well and tasted good however I think it could be better. Maybe they can add an option of cheese burst base like other brands.

Another item ordered was Strawberry Milkshake. The ambience was like a regular cafe. This can level up by just adding some music as youth is the prime customer here. Also, the availability of books and board games is a plus. These things can engage you for a long time. I think the quality of chairs can be leveled up. They are too noisy and not to great. Overall a good experience. Must check out if you are around.

If you are looking for casual time at restaurant with some good fun around and super tempting meals then certainly Tea Pea Cafe can be your option. I visited their Borivali Outlet and it has certainly comfortable and spacious seating arrangement. Seating available in both indoor and outdoor. Decent ambience with courteous staff.

Talking about food it was well seasoned and completely flavourful. Taste and Quality kept well intact.

I ordered:

Nachos Bhel which was completely unique dish and different combination altogether. Crunchy and Crips Nachos till the last bite gave perfect experience to try out this fusion dish. Tangy Bhel with hint of spice and freshness of coriander gave this fusion dish right flavours. Well presented and served.

Make your own fries gives you an opportunity to try out and add sauces of your choice. You can add 3 sauces to crisp and long fries. I added white cheese sauce, cheesy jalapenos sauce and mint mayonnaise. All three sauces goes so well with each. Fries and Sauces both went really well with these sauces. And you have option of 6 sauces to have mix and match.

Pink Sauce Pasta is perfect for those who love tangy and lightly spiced pasta. Combination of White and Arrabbiata pasta. Flavourful and well cooked pasta with lots of veggies. Crunchy veggies added additional texture to pasta. Creamy Tangy pasta was perfectly made.

Hazelnut Cookie Shake a perfect thick shake with crunchy cookie and loaded with chocolate goodness. Topped with vanilla icecream which gave the extra creamy texture and drizzle of chocolate as well. Portion size was appropriate and well served too. It was reasonably chilled and chocolate hazelnut flavour was right in place.

Hazelnut Cappuccino which is also frothy option to try for those who love sweet coffee. Certainly good refreshing option in coffee to try out. Mild hazelnut flavour and chocolate flavour too. Portion size is well appropriate for single serving

Nutella Waffle having serving of 2 waffles and scoop of vanilla icecream too. Loaded with Nutella and soft waffles makes perfect dessert combination. Vanilla Ice cream is giving good option to cut down excess chocolate over waffles and adds good element to whole dessert.

Overall experience at Tea Pea Cafe is worth having and it was fun filled as there are games too which you can play along your dine in. Decent ambience, sufficient seating and courteous staff makes it good option for dine in.

Tea is the trend that will never get old and a place with a concept of focusing on tea is what drove us to this Cafe in Borivali. It is located at the signal near Kora Kendra in Borivali. It provides an indoor-outdoor seating facility. It is a cozy place for a complete vegetarian dining experience. The ambiance here isn’t that well maintained, however the menu maintained is vast, fit to select your taste from the many.

We began with the sole reason we were here, i.e Masala chai. We had it with few pieces of toast, khari and Parle-G biscuits. I know this would want you to sip a hot cup of tea right now. But yes, the tea was good and they serve a variety of options to crunch with tea.

We couldn’t hold ourselves from not ordering Vegetable maggi. Mixed with the goodness of the maggi masala and peas, carrot, capsicum, tomatoes and lots of love, this Vegetable maggi isn’t worth missing. Well cooked and served!

We chose the ‘Make your own fries’ option and tried our mix of sauces to be topped on our fries. We selected the Mayo and Jalepano cheese Sauce, and it was too good. It looked so tempting. It was great taste wise too, as at other eateries we are restricted to cheesy fries mostly.

We wanted to try something unique and Paneer bhurji bun caught our eyes! After such a good experience from the beginning, we had high expectations from this item as well. But, sadly the paneer smelled stale and was sour too. We would highly recommend the staff to carry regular fresh stock of perishable food items as this can affect customers views towards the outlet.

Kitkat Shake was way too sweet and thus it shattered our experience at a certain level. The presentation was great, it looked quite delicious, but it wasn’t the kit kat Shake we’d aim to sip down again.

We’d consider that Hazelnut cold coffee was the hero of all the items we tasted. This cold coffee is extremely delicious. Being cold, it gave out the hazelnut flavour so well, even a person who’s not much into coffee would fall for it. It is highly recommended for everyone reading this.

Our overall experience at Tea पी was good. The two items mentioned above must be looked upon and considered. The staff was cooperative too. We were happy to see many customers arriving from the morning itself. Hope this review was of some help in regard...
