VB World by Namma Veedu Vasanta Bhavan in Anna Nagar, Chennai, is a delightful gem for vegetarian food lovers! Nestled in the vibrant Shanthi Colony, this sprawling 180-seater restaurant offers a global culinary experience that’s both innovative and nostalgic. The ambiance is a standout—elegant yet welcoming, with tasteful interiors, hand-crafted pinewood chandeliers, and a warm, family-friendly vibe that makes it perfect for diners of all ages. The menu is a vegetarian paradise, seamlessly blending South Indian classics with global flavors like Mexican tacos, Italian pizzas, and colorful dim sums infused with natural vegetable hues.

Signature dishes like the paneer ghee roast pizza and honey chilli lotus stem are bursting with creativity, while the mushroom pepper soup strikes a perfect balance of rich and spicy.

The Cones & Brew bakery is a highlight, serving up indulgent treats like red velvet ice cream, blueberry cheesecake, and artisanal coffee. The service is impeccable, with friendly staff and thoughtful touches like valet parking and a sustainable induction kitchen that reflects their commitment to quality. Whether it’s a casual family dinner or a lively gathering, VB World delivers a world-class experience at an affordable price—around ₹600-₹1,000 for two.

It’s a must-visit for anyone craving variety, flavor, and a fresh take on...

We went for a Saturday night dinner and we regretted the decision a lot that is because of manager SK in anna nagar branch. We came and 8 pm and ordered 6 dishes then one of us asked for bill thinking the dinner is done but we clearly told that we are going to order more now . Instead of taking the order SK came and shouted and literally chased us. Even though we are telling that we wanted to order more he didn't see what we ordered initially and asking us not talk and just to eat because talking we have to do it outside itseems and he's telling that we have to finish eating soon and clear the place soon and not to talk and not to order less. But are these rules applicable for VB is my doubt. All these are happening at 8:50 pm but he's falsely accusing us that we are there from 7 pm and didn't order anything. But we reached VB at 8 only . So does VB has a rule that we shouldn't talk while eating or else we should clear the place in 40 mins???. VB has to answer for the non sense act caused by the manager SK. We taught VB has grown a lot by their ambience but it stays only with the ambience...their service is literally worst night mare which can't even be compared to road side shops. Will never be visiting VB and will never ever leave anyone whom I know to visit VB because of this behavior because I don't want anyone whom I know to...

We visited VB World, Anna Nagar, with our family (including kids and parents) around 2 pm, looking forward to the food and experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the special unlimited thali (₹400) for my father. While the food was good, the service left us very disappointed.

When my father politely asked for a small refill of cauliflower fry and sweet, the waiter responded casually and with an unprofessional smile, saying that lunchtime was over and nothing was available. When we insisted, he bluntly stated that “unlimited means only rice and curry, not sweets.” Later, we checked with the cashier and learned that unlimited should cover all items. This miscommunication, combined with the dismissive attitude of the waiter, spoiled what could have been a pleasant meal.

On top of this, basic facilities like drinking/handwash water were unavailable, and the air conditioning was not functional that day. As a family spending nearly ₹4000, we expected not just good food but also respect, hospitality, and a welcoming service — all of which were missing.

VB World has great food options, but unless the staff are trained to treat customers politely and uphold what is promised on the menu, the experience falls far short of...

Recently, I've visited this place for breakfast and was truly impressed by the ambience. The washrooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. We ordered the Sambar Vada, Mini Ghee Podi Idli, and a Plain Dosa. The menu is definitely on the pricier side, which I believe is mainly due to the premium ambience. The Mini Idli stood out with its rich aroma and excellent taste. The Sambar Vada was good, though the sambar itself lacked a distinct or unique flavor compared to other high-end vegetarian restaurants. As for the Plain Dosa, it was served with sambar and three varieties of chutney — I particularly enjoyed the chutneys. I didn’t try other items on the menu, so I can’t comment on those. However, overall, this is a decent high-end vegetarian restaurant offering hygienic and good-quality food. Go and enjoy your food! If you liked my review, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks, Sabarinathan C.

I was pretty impressed by this restaurant. It serves multiple cuisines and is famous for its pizzas too. The ambience sets the mood and we were ready to try their offerings. We started with cheese balls and that was ok. Next we tried their honey chilli Lotus stem. 10/10 ! Loved it. The Paneer tikka was smokey and flavoured to perfection. For the main course we ordered paneer lababdar, daal makhani and naan. The gravy was full of flavour and the naan was soft and flaky. Their daal makhani was buttery and done to perfection! Delicious! Their rava dosa was also crispy and nice. We tried the cheesecakes and out of three my favourite was the pista flavoured cheesecake. The rose cheesecake was nice too. Opera cheesecake was also good. The place has a good vibrant feel. The ambience is nice. Service is fast. Parking is no problem as they offer valet service. Go and indulge!

VB World is a great place if you're looking to enjoy authentic South Indian cuisine. The ambience was impressive — warm, inviting, and beautifully designed interiors that set the mood just right. When it came to the food, our experience was a mix of hits and misses. Korean Bun: Absolutely delicious — soft, flavourful, and well-balanced. Seppankizhangu Roast: A definite winner! Perfectly roasted and packed with taste. Three Pepper Hakka Noodles: The noodles were decent in flavour, but unfortunately, they weren't served hot, which took away from the experience. Aloo Tikki: This was the only real disappointment. It lacked flavour and was served cold. While the South Indian dishes stood out, the rest of the menu didn’t quite meet our expectations. That said, the ambience and some standout dishes made the overall experience a good one.
