Hotel was absolutely awful and the whole experience was awful! From the moment we saw the hotel from the outside, we could tell it wasn't nice, it is located in not a very nice area and it is very noisy on the road with so much passing traffic. It looks dark, dingy and depressing as soon as you enter the reception area. The staff are not good at all. When we called ahead to confirm our booking the guy who answered said that we have no booking!! Ridiculous! This was despite booking well in advance! When we got there they looked bemused and confused. They then took ages photocopying our passports and it was 1am and we were exhausted and just wanted to get to our rooms to sleep! When we did get to the rooms, they were awful. There was an awful smell coming from the bathroom, smells like sewers! The bathroom was very dirty and there was a dead fly squashed on the wall! Disgusting! The bedroom was horrible, very dirty on the floor and the bedsheets did not look clean at all. I couldn't sleep the whole night as I was getting bitten by bed bugs and I my arm was burning so much for the itching! I honestly have never seen such a bad hotel.||||The breakfast the next morning was pretty poor. The selection was very poor, with hardly any choice. I had toast in the end, I was scared to eat anything there as the cleanliness was so poor. I couldn't wait to get out of there.||||Grand Metro Central was the worst hotel experience we have ever had to endure. As soon as we could we had to transfer to another hotel, we couldn't stay there a minute longer! There was nothing Grand about this place. A lot of work to do in terms of staff behaviour, cleanliness, rooms, food, decor and the general look...
Read morePlease don’t come, this is not a hotel. It’s a piece of shitt!! Their behaviour isn’t good. Hotel drowns lots of mosquitoes. They don’t care if you got malaria or not, they don’t use spray. This place smell like a dead rat everywhere, Inside room smoke came from ventilation. No welcome drink, no respect. There’s no Coffee in the room, no fridge or snacks. I mean there’s nothing in the room. Waste of time/ money/everything.
There’s no Resturant in this hotel, that means no food.
They hired Elderly women like 60-70 age for remake the rooms. Those women can’t event know the maintenance system, so still forcing them to work.
If you accidentally here or checked inn! Please don’t left your valuables things in the room. Because they entered the room with master key, in the name of remaking room without asking anyone. I found them touching my stuff when I was away. I put AirTag, so I came back and found my room is open and they are touching my bags and luggage’s. Son of thieves. Do not come here. I’m a Bariatric patient, just discharged from hospital, I told them. But they didn’t care at all. They hold me in a stand position so long. I gave them passport copies, because they ask. After this they force me to write down passport details in few pages including passport issue date and place. After that ton of info. They hold us in the lobby at least 1 n half hour, where thousand of mosquitoes flying and was...
Read more3 stars because it's just ok, comfortable but just ok.
Located on the main road itself, visible from the traffic. Maybe a 5 mins drive from the S.R.S travels drop point.
Parking space is available, but once filled with about 6 cars, there's no more room.
Rooms are AC, beds are too soft, so soft that I didn't get any sleep. Maybe they could be replaced if asked. There's a safe in the room cupboard, available to use. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and quite adequate.
There was no hot water, they have fixed timings for that maybe. The washroom and shower areas are maintained. But there was stagnation of water from the shower, only fixed after repeated complaining.
We were told that there would be wifi, couldn't pick up the hotel server signal or we weren't able to log in to the WiFi, even with the provided login ID and password. This issue was not resolved till the time I left. And I had to use my phone data pack, which will not be reimbursed by my office.
The complementary breakfast was good. Only a couple of options for breakfast ( as it is not a restaurant ) but it was good & tasty. The coffee & tea was also tasty and fulfilling.
There's TV & AC in rooms, room service is also available, but at a cost. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's not much view from the windows, apart from the adjacent poorly maintained pond/canal and traffic with slightly visible movement of the metro rail.
Overall...
