Magal Korean BBQ Hublife Jakarta — Restaurant in Jakarta

This is the worst Magal I have ever visited.

The food quality was horrible, worse than my own cooking. While their tofu soup looks beautiful, it tasted just plain bland and they used egg tofu, which doesn't pair well with korean cuisine. Their bibimbap is utterly funky, wet moist and bland, their grilled meat was just "okay".

Their utensils might look clean coz they were wrapped in tissue, but look closer and you can see dry chilli flakes on the spoon. Their new cold cup was brownish when you wipe it with wet napkins. Halfway thru our meal, a fly was served stiff and cold from their cold pitcher of iced tea.

I brought up the issue with the cashier and manager looking dude with white shirt, they just took my payment with a poker face. Annyong!!!

Let me introduce, another my must have menu from Magal, it is their Yetnal Bibimbap (엣날 비빔밥) or Original Style Bibimbap (favorite 😻). I prefer this one rather than Hot Stone Pot Bibimbap, because I doesn't like burnt rice in the bottom when using Hot Stone Pot. This menu consists of rice topped with various vegetables like carrots, zucchini, bean sprouts, spinach and lettuce), mushroom, beef bulgogi and egg, seasoned with Korean Bibimbap Sauce (usually using Korean chili paste and vinegar mix), tasty 😋. We were a group of 6, it was 8 pm and we tried to order a quick ricebowl for my hungry 5 year old and were told it is not allowed and as it is only for takeaway and can't be consumed in the restaurant.
