Citadines Gatot Subroto - Jakarta Review Stay Period: 29 April – 01 March 2025 Purpose: Family Holiday Our stay at Citadines Gatot Subroto exceeded our expectations, though there’s still room for improvement. Booking Process: We discovered this hotel through online reviews and decided on it because of its convenient location in central Jakarta. It’s close to shopping malls and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, making it ideal for our needs. Opting for a serviced apartment, we chose a 2-bedroom flat with breakfast for 3 nights, aiming for comfort and practicality. First Impressions: Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the friendly and helpful staff, especially at the front desk and security. Although the lobby was relatively small, it had a pleasant guest lounge and two reception desks. The check-in process was seamless and efficient. Accommodation: Our room on the 27th floor offered a stunning view of Gatot Subroto Street. It was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with amenities like a refrigerator, microwave, water dispenser, and a fully functional kitchen—perfect for preparing meals. The addition of a washing machine was also a thoughtful touch. However, we noticed leftover garbage in the sofa chair’s crevices, including chopsticks, candy wrappers, and even a coin, which highlighted the need for improved cleaning standards. Additionally, the TV lacked program variety, which could be disappointing for guests planning to stay indoors. A fun perk: you can request UNO cards or other family games from the reception desk, adding to the overall experience. Facilities: The hotel boasts an outdoor swimming pool and a well-equipped indoor gym on the F floor, which are shared with regular apartment tenants. The gym was clean and all equipment functional, while the pool provided a refreshing space, especially in the mornings. However, during evenings, strong winds can be disruptive. Another drawback was the presence of guests smoking near the pool edge, which detracted from the enjoyment. Dining Experience: Breakfast is served buffet-style at the lobby level, featuring a modest yet delicious selection. A unique aspect is the egg station located at the cashier, where you can order complimentary main breakfast items if included in your booking. Additionally, the convenient store nearby is a handy touch. Highlights: The standout feature of this hotel is its staff. Their quick response, even in the middle of the night (e.g., replacing drinking water at 12:30 AM), ensured our comfort throughout the stay. Areas for Improvement: Better cleanliness, especially in hidden areas like furniture crevices. Enhanced variety in TV programming. Improved regulation around smoking areas to ensure a more pleasant environment for all guests.
Final Thoughts: All in all, we had an amazing experience during our stay, surpassing our expectations of a serviced apartment. Citadines Gatot Subroto is a great option for families seeking accommodation near shopping areas or those wanting a memorable staycation in central Jakarta. Recommendation: Best wishes to Citadines Gatot Subroto—looking forward to...
Read moreThis a review from me as a bussines trip not for holiday trip.
This hotel is superb & suitable for family trips/holiday trips. This hotel facilites & services is excellent. There is also a mart (alfa mart) for buying things at the Ground Floor Level.
Facilities have here is, pool, gym, family lauge, laundry, cafe & etc,. So, for pool is feels like the infinity pool. The view was superb either morning or night time. Can enjoy the city view & the pool also quite big enough only less pool chair. Also, maybe in future can add-on jacuzzi.
For the cafe, the most of the staff can understand english but maybe in replied to you, a bit hard but is okay, as long as the communications can be done for me no issue. Almost everyday I met a girl (Salma maybe she's the leader because she's at the counter taking orders normally when I come) & her team, they will greet & serve all the customers nicely. The food is good, breakfast will have buffer, lunch & dinner need to dine-in (price is just nice).
For the gym, it's okay not much equipment maybe due to less space but yeah just nice for light excercising. For the laundry, there is 2 option, self-laundry or you can call for pickup your cloth.
The waiting lobby in GF Level also comfy & all the staff including the security are good. They will greet you & helping you. The receptionist mostly can speak in english. I think most of the staff here can understand english but to replied maybe take some times.
Overall, this hotel was good & superb for bussines trips & for family/holiday trips, also good. Thank you for the good service & facilities. I enjoy...
