The oldest temple in Jakarta. From wiki info, it was rebuilt twice after the Chinese massacres in 1740 and after a fire in 2015. So it looks nothing like an ancient temple. For praying, start from 2nd floor and follow the number in descending order found below the Buddha/deity. After finished praying at number 29, then proceed to 1st floor. The incense are free for both floors. You can ask for fortune or queries on future with the divine lot (bamboo stick with number) from Guanyin Buddha and the lot explanation book is on the Buddha left. The words are all in Malay and you can use google translate to get the meaning...

I have been to this Temple during Imlek (chinesw new year 2020). It was crowded. A lot of things can be learnt about the Buddhism traditional and their way of prayer, their way of celebration. This temple seems small but actually its quite big. Photography is allowed. The location is Glodok. But i am not sure about the transport facility because i walk by myself from Kota and it's walking distance from there. On the way to this temple there is a china market. A lot of fish market, foods, vegetables etc. One of must visit place. Try to visit here on Chinese new year. I don't know about this temple on...

Originally built in 1650 by the Su Hu (I forget the name), this is the oldest and biggest Confucius temple in Jakarta. In weekend this temple is a bit crowded because many of Chinese people come here for praying. Some tourist also strolling around this temple since it is open for public. But, if you visit this temple please show your good deed and manner with people while they are praying.

Taking photo is allowed, except inside the indoor sacred place of worship where Kwan Im Teng God stand on the altar. People in here are also welcome. I usually come here during weekend with...
