Osteria Gia Mall Pacific Place — Restaurant in Jakarta

Another awesome night spent at one of the best Italian Restaurant in Jakarta. Yes, it is Osteria Gia! Quite shocked when I entered the restaurant that night since it was really packed and they said it is always full everyday! Yes, you might better have your reservation beforehand. The restaurant itself is not so spacious but they have a really warm and live ambience. Service was excellent, especially when Chef Tommaso showed up and treated us with his best dish. He was so friendly and also funny to all of the guests.

I was having some of their signature dishes such as:

Parmigiana Eggplant A vegetarian? This dish might suit you best. The combination between the roasted eggplant and mozzarella, parmigiano creme, and tomato sauce were really great. I really enjoyed eating the eggplant (am not a fan of eggplant tho), but it tasted really good. I love the tomato sauce too!

Caprese Dont like tomatoes? I think you should give this one a try. I didnt feel like eating tomatoes is torturing now since I ate this dish. The tomatoes was so fresh and didnt taste like tomatoes. Also, the pesto sauce did enhance the tomatoes flavour.

Penne Pesto Genovese Perfectly cooked penne served with pesto sauce and chicken. Omg this is the best pesto i have ever tasted in my life seriously. Thanks to Chef Tommaso for making this dish real😆 the pesto sauce was so fragrant omg i can still imagine the smell. The chicken was also soooo juicy omg me want more!:")

Calzone Ricotta Different way to eat pizza. Yeah, Calzone! This folded pizza was filled with artichoke, mushrooms, olive, ricotta cheese and onions. The filling was so generous. The spicy marinara sauce was really yums and gave more balance flavour to the calzone. So in love with this dipping sauce, cant stop saying "omg it is so yummy".

Nutella Pizza As a dessert, Nutella Pizza by Osteria Gia was one of the best to conclude the meal. Hey, I love their homemade peanut butter and also the roasted nut. It produced another great aroma to the pizza and another taste to the nutella spread. Purrfect!

Porcini Mushroom Ravioli Seasonal menu for Valentines and I think I would miss this one someday. Omg the ravioli was great, texture was perfect. The pecan walnut sauce was so creamy and yummy, I did like it a lot.

Chicken Brasato So this is basically a slow braised chicken cooked together with cipollini onions, taggiasche olives and bacon in balsamic and wine for hours. So you can imagine it would turn out become one of the best dish from my last dinner at Osteria. The chicken was soooo tender and tasty. Oh ya, i also cant forget the bacon, it was so yum yum and gave another flavour to the dish

Polenta Fries Made from polenta (cornmeal), fried and seasoned perfectly. This could accompany the Chicken Brasato or you can eat it alone, still good! Texture was really crispy on the outside and also a bit crispy in the inside. Seasoning was on point.

For drink, I tried Elderflower Mojito and Melon Cucumberita. Those were served beautifully, especially Melon Cucumberita. All of them tasted so refreshing. Super like!

Overall, this was one of the best dining experience I've ever had in 2020. Cant wait for another visit and try another menu! I would surely recommend Osteria Gia to all of my...

I made the reservation by calling the phone number in google, it was answered by automatic machine that was asking me to leave my phone number..few seconds later i received text messages which is a link to book through Chope application (which i have already in my phone)..i made the reservation 4 days in advance and finally got the table on the day and the time that i want (after i didnt get one on my first RSV attempt the week before, due to already fully booked)

They will call you also in the morning of your booking day to re-confirm your reservation.

The restaurant is located next to Hard Rock Pacific Place Mall.. we arrived on time and being greeted nicely by the greeter. We got the sofa seat in front of the bar (the sofa in this area is not that comfortable due to it keeps moving when you move/ when the person sitting behind you move.. so it seems it havent been screwed to the floor or something like that 😓)

For drinks, i ordered Melon Cucumberita mocktail and my husband order Campari Orange (but due to its Ramadhan month, they can only serve it after 7pm) so he ordered coke instead. My Melon Cucumberita was awesome and sooo refreshing..Trust me ladies! You need to try this! 😍 And then for starter we order Prosciutto Mozza (taste nice but the buffalo mozzarela that they use is standard quality) and also Fried Calamari (came exactly how i like it, which is so crispy and being seasoned well..the aioli is also nice).

For main, i order Spinach Ravioli for my 5 y.o daughter, Sirloin Bistecca for me and Pizza Parma for my husband. Everything was soo delicious except maybe the pizza, just so-so. Ravioli cooked very nice and well seasoned and Bistecca also very delicious, the potato on the side and also the onion confit were also very nice.

The decoration and ambience is also great, the place is not that big but comfortable. Osteria Gia in Pacific Place will definitely become our (and many 'Jakartans') favorite for months ahead and gonna be difficult to find...

Osteria Gia, located in the mall of Pacific Place, has been a household name when it comes to good Italian food. When my family and I came, we were instantly served with their delightful welcome bread. And everything about their food is well thought out, and the presentation they put in their dishes is exceptional. But one thing I'd like to add is that I recommend making a reservation prior to coming here, as they're occasionally booked, especially on the weekends.

There were lots of varieties of food that you could choose from, starting with their homemade pasta, risotto, salmon, egg Benedict, and, of course, their steak. but I would like to highlight the steak, as it is cooked to perfection. Every bite of the steak was mesmerizing. I asked for a medium-rare steak, and they delivered it perfectly. The texture and seasoning of the steak were very on point, and I'm definitely coming back for the steaks.

Osteria Gia is also most known for its tiramisu, which I would say is good because the flavors blend and complement each other so well. The service was also exceptional; the waiters were very helpful in recommending the best dishes they served, and the atmosphere and ambience of the place are breath-taking.

As for the price, Osteria GIA serves great food with friendly prices as well making it affordable and a perfect place for you to hang out with your friends as the prices for the pasta ranges from 100-150k and i would say it is reasonable and worth it

The experience was overall unforgettable, but one thing I would like to add is that Osteria can improve its space as the restaurant is very small, making it very unorganized. Still, I will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank...
