The Heart of Cork. A must for all visitors at home & abroad. Stalls, scents, scrumptious fare of fresh food. Hederman Smoked Salmon. To die for as we say in Cork. Excellent fish pates too. The Roughty Fruit King family run right down through the generations from Michael to his wonderful Daughter Margo Anne. Lemon curd with.passionfruit home made won Margot Anne a big award receipe by Harriet. Try it delicious. Finest fresh fruit & Veg. History and heritage. The fish stall O'Connell amazing well worth the visit. Fine fresh fish. Stunning array for you to choose from. Giant Monkfish. Prawns,Plaice. Sea bass to name but a few. Most stalls go back down through families past to present. Happy childhood memories with mother & siblings shopping there. Now an adult and still return. The Market arcade great too. Liam Lynch Jewlers there many years. Unique pieces made. Again family run business. Olive stall delicious selection. Cheeses too. Lovely coffee stop 4 seats if you wish to rest for quick espresso. See the people go by. Inhale the scents of cooking and fresh herbs aromas from Chinese store. Go visit. Go purchase. Go support. Fab place.

What I really like about the English Market is that when you're at the city center, there are so many ways to access the place. You can almost buy everything in there: Irish souvenirs, cakes and chocolates, wine, dry goods for cleaning and cooking, meat, fish and vegetable products. If you want to buy meat products in large amounts like for the purpose of preparing for a party, go to English Market because you will get good quality of fresh meat with affordable price. For Asians like me, you can purchase products in 2 stores out there. Just a reminder: Check the expiry date of the Asian products because I experienced buying an expired good without me or the seller noticing it. My favorite place is the restaurant located in the second floor, the ambiance is lovely and the pastries are tasty. By the way, the toilet is very clean, you just need to drop in 20 cents and work away! A very convenient place to shop and that's why we love the English Market!

Created in 1788 got to love this place a great Market in the heart of the City. Food stalls of vast origins. Scents and smells that bekon you in. It's only then that the knowledge of the foods begin. You have flavours and colours smiling faces and happy shoppers. Meats and treats and nick nacks. Pots and pans bread and jams clothing bedding and sheets fish with funny teeth from ships of varies fleets. Variety's of veg and fruit you will most definitely find something to suit. Hand made chocolates and cafe soups. Hard workers up at the dawn to sell and greet without even a yawn welcoming the crowds in from the streets. Great people they are to meet A treasure in the heart of this Cork City Street. Something for everyone at the English Market in Cork City and County.
