Outstanding. Lovely, patient owners who gave very useful advice and directions on cycling the Gap in the opposite-to-usual direction.
For information, if you are thinking of doing the same direction and you are fit, our times were as follows (we were pushing hard all the time as we arrived later than we had planned, maybe don't risk the following times if you are not fit as you will not enjoy it as much!):
11:50 a.m. - Departed bike rental shop 12:30 p.m. - Arrived Kate Kearney's cottage 12:40 p.m. - Departed Kate Kearney's cottage 13:55 p.m. Arrived at Lord Brandon's Cottage
The boat is literally 1 minute from Lord Brandon's.

Read moreI'm really glad we rented bikes here. Raphael was very helpful and kind. He suggested we try the Ring of Kerry tour, and even though I wasn't in any sort of sport shape, I went for it. I can't describe how much I enjoyed it. We ended up doing a longer tour because Raphael said the scenery was too good to miss, and that turned out to be my favourite part of the tour. We got bikes, bags, and helmets at a very reasonable price, probably you won’t get a better deal in town. You can return bikes same day until 17:45 or the next day at 9:00, which I find very convenient. Raphael, you totally made our Ireland trip a hundred times better!...
Read moreGreat service & top bikes Very kind and helpful service, would totally recommend this place. Good choice of different types of bikes for any purpose. Bikes are well maintained and you get all the equipment such as helmet and locker along with it. Very very good price for value. I can highly recommend this place. (Don't stop at the first bike rental place as you drive into Killarney, it is totally worth to come to this place which is only a little further in, and anyway closer to Killarney centre so also more convenient.) It is a great way to explore the national park and to get so much further than you...
