I had a lot of fun on this tour today! My father and I went to the Bishop’s Palace on July 24, 2024 and were told that they had just started doing a Bridgerton inspired tour. After a mix up where we accidentally followed the walking tour guide instead (which was also fun) we went back for the tour of the palace and had a blast.

The tour was basically giving us the latest and juiciest hot gos from 100+ years ago and it was great! Our lovely guide told us about some of the characters who’d lived in the building, other notable people in the area, and showed us around the absolutely beautiful first two floors.

All in all it was a very fun tour. Get into the mindset that this is just your best girlfriend giving you the 411 on what’s happening and it’s good craic.

Despite the theme being Bridgerton the tour is absolutely still appropriate for children. The guide slyly mentioned at one point that one man’s children couldn’t have all been his, but that was probably as raunchy as it got and I don’t think the child in the group picked up on it at all. All in all a very worth while tour and my father and I enjoyed ourselves very much even without him knowing a thing...

Great stop. The staff is super friendly (as is everyone in Ireland it seems). We enjoyed seeing the history of Waterford. They do a great job displaying various treasures and historical information.

After exploring the top floor, we waited around for the afternoon tour. Miss Pimrose did a great job getting into character and taking us through the house. The 3d story at the end was fun and full of interesting facts.

We also really enjoyed the glass items on sale by a local artist. He wasn’t there that day, but his workshop wear he etched everything was. It was neat to see. He had lots of beautiful work. We all bought at least one of his hand etched ornaments that were on sale for the Christmas season.

This was a highlight of our day. We were all really glad we made the time to stop here and...

We visited the Museum with our Community Care Group from Conna, from the very start Erin couldn't have been more helpful in helping to organize this as a few changes had to be made along the way, the Museum is wonderful and Ann, the housekeeper, beings it all to life, she's a great woman for the gossip!!!! On the same day half our group visited the Museum of Time, this too is well worth a visit, some interesting and enormous clocks and timepieces, beautiful places thanks and well...

We did the Bishop's Palace as part of the combined Waterford Museums ticket. It was really worthwhile as it is a beautifully curated 18th century home. It is particularly noteworthy because of its amazing collection of 18th century Waterford glass, which pre-dates The House of Waterford's shift to producing crystal. It has the oldest surviving piece of Waterford glass.
