Waterford Treasures: Irish Silver Museum — Attraction in Waterford

Added another star just now due to a thoughtful and positive response to my comments from the museum (thank you). There's a good display of sumptuous silver but no other level to interact with what I hoped would be a good learning experience about Irish silver. There is a silver craftsperson in the museum who may be interesting to learn from but they were busy and animated over sales. I gave them space to interact with customers and came back later to ask my question about an 200 year old piece of Dublin silver ...I didn't feel the staff member was particularly interested as she said we should go ask at another museum! Don't be fooled by this museum's small size. The two rooms are packed with rare and exemplifying objects of Ireland's silver trade. I recommend not to skip the vids nor cut them short for they beautifully unfold Irish history based on silver, its trade, processing, use, and impact on society.
