This is a nice, calm and quiet park. There’s a bit of everything here - rugged pathways, patches of forest, open fields, fountains, and public art installations. It’s a fun place to explore and wander. There are also steps leading to a beautiful neighborhood worth walking through called Yemin Moshe. Great to visit both during the day and in the evening when the walls are lit. Stroll in the narrow streets towards it, walk on the stairs, enjoy the freshness of the running water. We enjoyed seeing the family friendly Lion Fountain on the south side of Bloomfield Garden. Just east of the fountain are where you will find very nice views of the Old City and Mount Zion to your east. Read moreThe Bloomfield Garden is west of the Old City at the Yemin Moshe Quarter. This is a 17 acre city park with nice open space, landscaping and leisure area good for relaxing if you need a break from sightseeing.
We enjoyed seeing the family friendly Lion Fountain on the south side of Bloomfield Garden. Just east of the fountain are where you will find very nice views of the Old City and Mount Zion to your east.

There are shaded benches to sit on, patches of grass to picnic on, and even a few historically significant sites to explore. The problem is what goes on here at night. There is virtually no lighting, and the park goes from a family-friendly environment to one where women are not safe to walk alone.
