We stayed at citadel back in February. We live in Jerusalem but wanted to get away for the night. It was a perfect getaway. Room was clean and comfy. Pool and gym were great. And the breakfast! Oh, the breakfast! It was so good. An amazing array of so much deliciousness and the waiter service was superb. They even drew pictures and our names in the milk foam of the lattes. They were so attentive and providing. Speaking of service, I was blown away before I even got there. I called the night before to confirm my reservation and check that we were all set. The guest relations rep that I spoke to, Carren, was the most inviting and warmest service person I think I have ever spoken to in any establishment. She expressed so much excitement for our little getaway. When I told her it was our anniversary she got even more excited for us. She told me she would arrange for a special treat and champagne to be sent up. She also graciously offered us early check in. When we got there the check in agent, whose name i forgot, also was very very nice. He upgraded us and took his time going through all the available rooms to find the one we would enjoy the most. He told us the room he gave us had a great view plus the most sun on the porch in the afternoon. He was right. Then by breakfast, we were approached by none other than Carren herself. She introduced herself and asked how our stay was going. We ended up having the most wonderful conversation for almost a half-hour! She was just wonderful. Then as we were leaving breakfast she came back to us and informed us that she had given us another three hours of late check out so we can enjoy a little vacation just a bit more. Her graciousness, ability to connect with people and ability to perceive their needs is unsurpassed. The Breakfast was so good that we went this week again just for breakfast. They didn't disappoint, once again. Thank you Citadel and...
Read moreWe arrived to celebrate a birthday that on the 1.7 What a mistake was to come on these dates. The lobby was full of children that runs and screams, unbearable noise in all areas of the hotel, in the corridors, stairs, we did not dare to visit the pool that was exactly like a low class public pool, tell me more about your "luxury hotel". Not to mention the dining room experience, kids threw food items at each other and drop and break glasses and plates. The older people also decided to behave very similarly and felt the need to check every loaf of bread by hand, like every low cost grocery store. Again, the unbearable noise in every corner of the hotel, screams and shouts, from the staff and guests. A month before the visit, I called to schedule a massage on the visit date. The day before, the representative from the spa "Akasha" called me and informed me that they don't have any free therapist on this dates because she is "abroad". The receptionist laughed at me when I called one month in advance, even a year in advance wouldn't help with their lack of caring and chaos. The room was outdated and falling apart, the air conditioner was making noises all night. A single elevator that functions as a Sabbath elevator going down to the parking lot, summed up our trip with 3-story descent on foot with our luggage. A "luxury hotel" that does not embarrass any low grade...
