TL;DR steaks came cold, 1/4 was inedible, rude service, bad side dishes. You absolutely don't get what you pay for.

It's not often I feel an urge to write off a restaurant. The thing is, you have certain expectations, when they're unmet to such a degree, and across the board I feel the need to share.

I've been to the place for meat a few years back and have a decent recollection. This time round they failed one all accounts in my opinion.

My wife and I both ordered steak - a 200gr and 300gr fillet and entrecote. They both came cold and looked unappealing, like they sat waiting for a few minutes. Steak must be served right off the grill otherwise it looks bad and when you get to the other end you're eating cold leftovers.

The side dishes - we ordered the iceberg lettuce and so called baked potato. Lettuce - they told us they don't have it only a second before the steaks came. We were one of the first tables, if you didn't bring stuff to the kitchen today you should tell us at ordering (just like when you don't bring your homework to school). Opted for the Green Salad instead, which was so drenched in sauce it was inedible. Potatoes - they may have spent a very brief excursion in an oven but they weren't a baked potato and were far from being cooked through (not to mention the lack of any seasoning or flavor).

200gr fillet - the meat tasted ok, however came cold. Ordered medium and got well-done (it was pink-gray through most of it). 300gr entrecote - also came out cold (and believe me, I dug right in). The slice was poor quality, they were cheap on the meat and I ate 3/4 of the steak (this is not ny first rodeo, I like my fat and messy steak, this was just rubber).

So beacause I was hungry I made the mistake of ordering onion rings (because a few years ago they were good) and again, I am no stranger to deep fried food. However the onion rings were a mess of oil that had accidentally met an onion on the way to my plate.

Now to the far important part. The service, or lack thereof. We were asked about the dishes a few bites in, which is great, but when I told the waitress my steak was cold, she offered to reheat it, which I obviously declined. One guy was rude all along, yelling at the kitchen, he went almost as far as bashing the plates on our table. They sent us a dessert "on the house", I guess it's cheaper than the word sorry. However the abnoxious guy coming with the check was pointing at the cake and going "is this from us?" I was stunned then and there. To top it all, they added a 15% tip on the check we hardly noticed!! It was written below the tax and horribly misleading and rude.

So, I thought I should mention all of this to the manager, who hovered close to us during our whole lunch, we were next to the "business" area of the place. He offered a very dull and unconvincing apology and just walked away. Didn't check what's up in the kitchen or his staff. That's the worst of it, it's OK to make mistakes, it's ok if you hire rude staff. It's bad when it's your place and you don't give about it.

So why am I mad? I don't mind paying high price for meat and service, but I expect to get the least of either. I got...

Business lunch Carpaccio - nothing special, a certain lack of capparis doesn't leave a good impression. Other than that - meat is pretty tasty, not an overencumbering amount of parmesan. Side note - a bread which comes with an appetizer is pretty tasty, probably bought from a nice bakery if not made by themselves Steak - medium rare (asked for medium rare), clearly dry-aged - overall, a nice cut of meat which doesn't need anything else to enjoy it. Satisfied with this option Salad Iceberg with a blue cheese toping - a fresh salad toped with a blue cheese sauce and a walnut and a pine nut selection. Nice texture and an interesting combination, the only objection - the amount of pine nuts in a salad. highly recommend 3.5 Alchohol - Draft beer (Carlsberg Luma) - a nice taste and smell, pretty high in alcohol value - clearly draft chocolate musse - a soft and a gentle texture, the musse is topped with a big chocolate chip which is homemade. An additional orange sauce is included. 10/10 Espresso - a fine tasting espresso with a clear aftertaste of a high-quality beans. Ate here several times before, and it was always pretty good. Tonight was so bad that I can’t let them off the hook. My girlfriend ordered a medium steak filet, waited a very long time, then it arrived medium well (or even close to well done) - completely grey on the inside, and texture was way off. A very expensive cut - completely ruined. It was one of the first times in my life that I called a waitress to the table to complain about a dish, that’s how bad it was. The waitress called the manager, which to my absolute shock decided to argue with me that the meat is cooked medium! She even went as far as to claim that veal steak filet is always white in color, which is a blatant lie. I asked that they change it, she was not inclined to, and didn’t even bother to bring a compensation, which would have cost them about 3-5 dollars, and would have perhaps made us a little less disappointed.
