Pearls of Assisi. I have been in Assisi many times and my first travel here was in the year 2000. There are lots of places that you could discover here in Assisi and of course St Francis and St Clare is in the front of spiritual Assisi. But spirit is not alone the soul and body is intimate connected to each other and I will advise people who spend some days in Italy to go to Assisi. Assisi I suited in the region of Umbria a county known for its excellent food and wine as well their spiritual mind. When you come to Assisi you probably run around to see as much as possible, but it is also important to feel with your body what Umbria and Assisi is all about when it comes to eating and drinking. I myself usually find one place for have my coffee and one place for have my drinks and food. And in Assisi I find both by an accident. The place when it comes to wine Is Nillas Wine bar, Bibenda, here you can enjoy not only one of the best wine in Italy and around the world, you will also find yourself dragged in to a culture of food, history and true friendship. The wine is excellent and she also offers local cheese and different kind of ham and sausage as well as olive oil. Go for the wine tasting with all including for a very reasonably price or just stop for one glass of wine in the summer heat. I have been here every time since 2015 when I first discovered and I have no intention to stop visit Bibenda and Nillas as I see her as one of my friends here in Italy. Assisi è senza dubbio alcuno uno dei borghi medievali più belli d’Italia e custodisce un patrimonio culturale e artistico impressionante. Il suo centro storico è caratterizzato da un dedalo di viuzze che si snodano in una sorta di labirinto storico che merita senz’altro di essere visitato.

In una tranquilla stradina del centro, all’ombra di un minuscolo portico dove San Francesco si fermava a meditare, è celato un vero e proprio tesoro: l’Enoteca Wine-Bar «BIBENDA» che vi darà il suo benvenuto, accogliendovi in un amabile ambiente, raccolto e raffinato, dove si respira una piacevole atmosfera molto calda ed ospitale.

Pochissimi tavoli animano il locale, raccolti sotto uno splendido soffitto a volta realizzato in mattoncini a vista al quale fanno da cornice una moltitudine di bottiglie di vino, provenienti da ogni dove che fanno bella mostra di sé.

Ma vediamo se riusciamo a fornirvi qualche utile dettaglio: anzitutto, dovete sapere che nel 2012 quest’enoteca è stata nominata tra le due migliori enoteche italiane «all'Oscar del Vino», manifestazione organizzata dall'Associazione Italiana Sommelier tenutasi a Roma.

Ma colei che merita un elogio particolare è Nila Halun, proprietaria e sommelier professionista che anima con amore e immensa passione questo locale che è da considerarsi una sorta di tempio dedicato al culto di Bacco!

Nila, è una persona di rara squisitezza, davvero molto molto brillante: con la sua grande professionalità e con la sua straordinaria cultura in materia di vino saprà trasmettervi tutta la passione che nutre per l’affascinante mondo dell’enogastronomia. Chi avrà la fortuna di conoscerla e magari di poter assaporare un calice in sua compagnia resterà irrimediabilmente contagiato dal suo amore per il nettare degli dei.

Nila ci ha piacevolmente deliziato con i suoi vini. Abbiamo avuto il piacere di degustare quasi tutti i vini regionali disponibili: Trebbiano, Grechetto, Assisi bianco e rosso, Montefalco, Montefalco Riserva e Sagrantino prodotti da diverse Aziende. Abbiamo pure avuto modo di assaggiare il rosso Campoleone della cantina Lamborghini a noi sinora sconosciuto.

In accompagnamento alla degustazione vini, vi è pure la possibilità di assaggiare una deliziosa composizione di salumi e formaggi del territorio, accompagnati da marmellate e diverse qualità di miele di produzione locale. Degna di nota è anche la vasta gamma di oli extravergine d’oliva prodotti da Luigi Tega.

Possiamo senza dubbio affermare che ogni singolo prodotto che abbiamo avuto il piacere di provare è risultato di rara bontà e si è distinto per la sua eccellenza.
