You need a whole day for this place. I actually applaud the use of a castle to house this museum. Great useful use of the building and rather than preserve everything from that era a museum has been carefully and thoughtfully slotted in and around the existing structure. Loved it. It was engaging and interesting. We arrived about 3 and after the main exhibition there wasn't enough time for us to look around the gardens fully but from what we saw they looked stunning....
