First of all, riding along the Amalfi Coast by scooter is heaven on earth. Cruising up to Ravello, then driving down to splash in the sea on hidden beaches is the BEST. We usually wake up early in the morning and ride the Positano loop before all the traffic and the people arrive. It’s such freedom to be able to go anywhere and park anywhere you want. (Well, not anywhere, but almost) Some think its dangerous, but if you have some riding skills, its actually not that dangerous to scooter. It’s tempting to be taken in by the view but you must watch the road and the parked cars at all times. You can always stop for a photo. This last trip we rode all the way to Vietri su Mare, which was far but super fun and scenic.
Second of all, Salvatore is the best in his business. He always reserves my favorite Vespa for me, delivers it to my villa, and is a real pleasure to work with. He gives the best prices, and if there were to be anything wrong with the scooter, he will come to you to trade, fix, whatever. He is the best. We have been renting from him for over 10 years, and trust him completely. One time we had to turn in the scooters early and he gave us a refund without a problem. I recommend him and his company with 5...
Read moreWalked an hour uphill to their location, which was closed, though the hours stated they were open. Sign on door gave number to call if interested in renting. Called and was informed they had NO scooters, "maybe tomorrow" I was told. Walked an hour back to my hotel and asked the front counter to arrange a scooter drop off. An hour later they dropped off a scooter (thought there weren't any??) but the rentor insisted on me performing a test ride to prove confidence. I've ridden motorcycles since I was 11, have owned & ridden dirt bikes, street bikes, quads, and cruisers. My current ride is an 1100 CC Yahama crusier. The scooter he provided had a bad throttle (have to keep on the throttle to keep from stalling, throttle was loose, etc). I rode for 30 second at a busy turnaround, adjusting quickly to the bike's throttle, brakes, and turning radius. After returning, the rentor stated I lacked confidence and refused to rent to me. Do not recommend renting from this company. If you do, ensure to rent in a city center, like Amalfi center, so this doesn't...
Read moreIf you’re looking to rent for the day or more, this place was 10/10. Salvadore was awesome - he is local, so even if the shop was closed, we would send him a message through WhatsApp (the number is posted on the door) and he would respond almost immediately. We spoke no Italian & have never been to the country, so he was very accommodating and helped us to navigate how / where to park, road laws, gas stations, etc. and even recommended another local company when we wanted to rent a car. We rented the scooter within a few hours and picked it up for the next 3 - 4 days (no, we didn’t take the baby on the actual scooter while driving). We took the scooter all the way from Conca dei Marini to Positano one night, Maiori the next day and everywhere in between. Salvadore was also always riding around work, so we saw him around a few times and he was always willing to stop and chat. Really great experience overall -...
