I really like classical music and what can you do on a solo trip in the evening? Listening to Italian opera in a 15th century church...:) The experience was fantastic last weekend. The soprano singer was Melissa D`ottavi, who was very beautiful and had a wonderful voice. And among the pianists, I found Cristiano Manzoni to be very good. He played so casually and with such passion that I was completely mesmerized. (A strange thing was that one of the tourists thought she would bring the 2-year-old child with her.So disrespectful towards the artists and the guests.the child was not quiet...) But I tried to abstract it from the noise of the tourists and focus only on the artists and it was definitely a wonderful experience. Thanks. I will definitely return to Florence, because I love this lovely place and I will enjoy the Italian...

This review relates to the opera concerts they offer nightly. Totally fantastic. One of the best things we did in Florence. I am a huge opera fan, and while it was mostly popular arias, the soprano we saw was spectacular. The room is small, only about 50-75 capacity, in the hall of a former convent, and acoustically wonderful.

It was only a little over an hour, and I would stayed all night. I cannot recommend highly enough (if you...

Don’t miss it, some of you people just about missed it. Seriously excellent experience in a city that is saturated with tourists enjoy the calm and emotion of the operatic vignettes. Also this is the calmer and more chic side of the city, great cafes and restaurants.

It's an ok church, there's just many better ones around. Perhaps just to stop by if you walk past. The opera show was fine, good acting, the story just didn't quite glow since it's a mix and match of different songs by different composers

Church itself was nothing impressive, pianist was good, opera singer sounded outstanding. Power went off so we could not really see the performers, just hear them, but no mention of this fact or an apology for lack of power!
