While exploring Florence, I found this shop. The music, plants, and flowers outside were beautiful and inviting. Meeting Ginevra and talking with her about her work, imagination and craftsmanship was a truly joyful experience. It is very clear that Ginevra puts her heart and soul into every handmade one of a kind pieces. She has an incredible selection of items. Her connection with nature and how she is inspired by it is extraordinary. My husband purchased my wedding gift at Ginevra's shop....it was a lovely bronze dragonfly necklace. The next day I went back and purchased a pair of gold bee earrings. The prices are reasonable and Ginevra also can work with you to create any piece you are looking for. The piece she is currently working on for me is a one of a kind gold bracelet featuring the Basicala Santo Spirito, which was a special place to me during my time in Florence. I had previously met Ginevre Gemmi in a market in Firenze (Florence), and remembered her lovely jewelry with elements from the natural world. Almost 2 years later when I thought of having a custom item made with a detail from her city, she was immediately responsive and full of ideas. She made what could have been a transaction into a joy for me. At each step she listened carefully to what I was thinking, asking questions and offering suggestions. (Her suggestions saved me from some potential trouble, too... Whew!) I also got several pictures of each step, which added so much to both my happy choices along the way and the eventual gift.

I have met Ginevra at a fair is Santo Spirito. I was instantly charmed by her friendly attitude and by her wonderful creations. I would have taken all of them home with me! That day I went home with an unique hand-made silver ring, but half an hour into our first discussion I was already asking her if she would be willing to take a commission. I was not in any hurry, but I needed a special, one-of a kind ring, shadows embracing a blood-red translucent stone. And my dream came true, regardless its weirdness, regardless the language barrier.
