My fiancé and I visited Capannelle for 3 days in the middle of my for my 30th birthday. On arrival we had the warmest of welcomes from the staff with a gorgeous glass of wine and breadsticks. We instantly felt relaxed when we arrived and settled in to the beautiful Tuscan views. The winery is situated at the top of a hill and looks out onto the rolling hills with olive trees and vineyards as far as the eye can see. Our beautiful bedroom was set off a large living room which we had use of and enjoyed another glass of wine there that evening. The bed was very large and comfortable and the views from the bath were breathtaking. They supply all natural olive oil toiletries that were stocked up every day and the room and bathroom were spotless! The staff were always keen to help us with restaurant recommendations in the local area and suggestions of their wines to our taste. On our last full day there, my boyfriend went out of his way arranging a gorgeous lunch and wine pairing on the garden area with the team at Capannelle. They set up speakers for us, laid a gorgeous table up and served us exquisite food and wine. Unbeknownst to me, my boyfriend had been arranging this with the team for a while as he proposed to me during our lunch. It was the most idyllic, magical setting for us to get engaged and i cant thank the team enough for making our day so special.
Are stay was perfect and i couldnt fault it at all. They serve a tasty breakfast every morning with the most delicious orange juice i have ever drank and the staff are so knowledgable about their wines. We took a tour around their cellar and the wine production was explained so well to us.
Im going to recommend Capannelle to all my wine loving family and friends, the teams passion and warmth made our trip...
Read moreWe stayed a night at Capannelle in June 2022 and it ended up being the best stop we made on our 2-week trip in Italy. Martina was so helpful with scheduling our stay via email, and she welcomed us when we arrived to show us around our room and the property. We got to stay in one of the rooms that's adjacent to the main house. It was lovely with a big comfortable bed, sitting area, and a very large bathroom. It felt very private and we loved opening the door to take in the view of the hillside. We were allowed to arrive early to hang out by the pool that overlooks the vineyards, and we got a charcuterie and cheese plate to share for lunch - absolutely delicious. That evening we got a private tour and tasting, we loved seeing their "wine safe" with the high-end bottles in it. Since they unfortunately don't serve dinner, we did have to drive down the very steep hill to the little town and I am really glad we did, it was so quaint and the food was amazing. The drive up and down that hill is not for the faint of heart, especially if you're not used to driving stick shift like us! We opted to buy a bottle of their 50 & 50 to enjoy when we got back and it was amazing, I would recommend trying it. The breakfast provided the next morning was also great, lots of options of fresh fruit, eggs, pastries, and coffees. This is the perfect place to get away from the crowds, enjoy some peace and incredible views and sip on some awesome wine. The cost for our stay was very reasonable. I hope we can come back...
