Ours may be an unusual experience but I can only rate Lorenzo Chini for the character, charm and culinary talent that he extended to me and my family during our unexpected visit to his establishment. Somehow our reservations were mixed up with a period of three days that he was closed to do some filming by a Netflix crew from Asia. Lorenzo graciously honored our reservation and treated us to his classic Tuscan menu, personally waiting on us and engaging us. The film crew above and us alone in his street front dining room. Avoid This Place at All Costs The owner of this restaurant is downright arrogant and disrespectful. His condescending attitude and complete lack of respect for customers are shocking. It’s clear he doesn’t care about providing a good experience and seems to think he’s doing you a favor by letting you eat there. Lorenzo's Osteria is simply one of the best eating experiences I have had in my 61 years. All 4 of us in my group had some delicious starters with fresh bread followed by the best bistecca alla fiorentina, washed down with a fine Chainti, then some desert wine and of course we had to try the Grappa which was strong but very good.
