That place is what we love Tuscany for! @La Gorgia is run by a lovely couple that makes you feel like home. And it’s not just said that way. They welcomed us so warmly that it was kind of hard to say goodbye to these people and - of course - to the food as our vacay came to its end. We’ve almost tried the whole menu up and down and it’s quite hard (again!) to say what’s best. But our all time favorite is the „Pici Cacio e Pepe“. Besides their food you can make some real good and affordable finds on their wine menu as well and to top it all off: The playlists will stick in my head, and let me think of the good times we had there. Let’s break it down. The best food in the best atmosphere and most of all with the best people. So, if you’ll ever be around Chianti area/Tuscany, this place is definitely worth a visit! Perfect gem in Gaiole in Chianti!

This is a lovely small restaurant, located on the village square in Gaiole. The atmosphere in the square is very nice, and this restaurant just adds to it.

The menu is straightforward, not too many options, but plenty to choose from. The food is absolutely delicious. We had dinner here 4 nights in one week, so we had a chance to try most of the menu, all items are excellent, but we truly enjoyed the risotto most of all. The dish is even finished right at your table.

The people who run the restaurant are very welcoming and attentive. Our Italian is not too good, but we were helped very pleasantly, and English is spoken fluently as well.

I would go back in a heartbeat. If I ever find myself in Gaiole again, this will be the first place...

La carta dei vini è altrettanto impressionante, con una selezione superba di etichette locali che si abbinano splendidamente a ogni portata. Il servizio merita una menzione speciale. Il personale è attento, professionale e incredibilmente cordiale, sempre pronto a offrire consigli e a garantire che ogni esigenza sia soddisfatta con un sorriso. È chiaro che qui c'è una vera passione per l'ospitalità e per la soddisfazione del cliente. In sintesi, La Gorgia non è solo un ristorante, ma un'esperienza completa che racchiude l'essenza della Toscana: cibo superbo, vino eccellente, atmosfera incantevole e un servizio impeccabile.
