Our third and final night in Napoli after a long day exploring Pompei, so we wanted to stay local to our apartment. Quick google search and we found this pizzeria with 4.5 stars just around the corner. I would love to say the star rating was justified, but sadly, I can’t.
The staff treat us like family, in fact, the waiter pulled a chair out and sat at our table to take our order! Whilst we waited for our food to arrive, we were entertained with a news channel showing destruction of Gaza, brilliant atmosphere to go with the elaborate and stylish table setting. When the food arrived, my partner was confused as she thought that she had ordered a pizza, not mozzarella soup in a pizza dough bowl. Wet, very soggy dough with little taste has not made for a happy eater, and my pizza was supposed to be a spicy pizza, but unfortunately I have had spicier margarita pizza at home. Such a shame as the stars promised on their reviews were over exaggerated as the term spicy...
Read moreFamily run. Service was poor. Asked for a carbonara and got a spaghetti with bechamel sauce and way too much sauce for the pasta. The guy that cooked it brought the pork out about 5 minutes later as he forgot to add it.
Once we ate we were forgotten about. We had to put our plates at the edge of the table for someone to take them away about 20 minutes later. There were only 2 other tables dining. Staff nowhere to be seen for extended periods of time.
The guy that brought my food was very off putting as he constantly wiped his face and hands on the back of his dirty jeans.
When we finally got his attention to pay he grabbed the check from another table that had just left and passed it to me. The pricing was obviously wrong for our bill and he had to ask us 3 times what was wrong after going away to correct it.
I'd say it was worth it if the food was nice...
Read moreProbably the worst pizza of my life. I live in Central America and the "Napolitano" pizza there is better than this place. I didn't think it was possible to find bad pizza in Naples but this was shocking how bad it was.
We only ate there out of necessity as it was the only place open on a Sunday night after getting off a ferry. Man I wish I went hungry instead. My GF's pizza was equally bad. She only ate about 10% of it and left it.
The chef and waitress were friendly enough, but service was very slow. We were told only pizza was available while we watched the owner (assumed) and a group of his friends order and be served pasta.
I don't live leaving bad reviews on small businesses but this place reeks of paid reviews so I want to warn others. Maybe as previously mentioned by others, possible change...
